Maybe I'm not doing enough planet exploration or something. I've done every side quest I can find but I'm sure I've missed a few. Example: I heard something about a quest where you get Wrex's family armor back, but haven't a clue how to start that quest.

Yeah, you get that one just by exploring random planets. Its like, dont JUST go to planets where you already have side-missions for. Explore planets that are just sitting there, and often times, when you arrive at them, Fifth Fleet with come over the com and tell you about a situation they have down there.

You also get quite a few side-missions from the Citadel early on in the game. But yeah, I've done that Wrex sidequest on both playthroughs, and I was exploring some random planet and encountered a compound. As soon as I walked in, Wrex went on a little rant and "BAM", new sidequest.

Go to EVERY SINGLE planet system and planet.

OK, I'll get on that. I did all of the side quests on the Citadel in the beginning. There's so many. They wanted to kill me.

I went back and checked for you, and, I had done exactly FIFTY side-quests and had just completed the first four main planets before I got the ally achievement for Wrex and Garrus.

So yeah, it took a lot of exploration.

Yeah...I have a feeling I may not accomplish it any time soon then.

You can, but it'll take over 25 hours (most likely) for each pairing, meaning around 75 hours to get the ally achievements.

I'm a Mass Effect addict so I'll get it...eventually. I just completed a playthrough on Hardcore, while getting the achievements for Wrex and Garrus, and I immediately started a new game, this time going with Ashley and Talli on Insanity.

Good times.

It's kind of strange I don't have more achievements than I do considering I think I'm on my third play through right now. And yeah, I know I can get them eventually, but with big 2008 releases bearing down, I don't know when "eventually" will be.

I feel you, man. I've actually been burning myself out a bit with all the gaming I've done. I know I wont get all of the achievements finished either.

Thing is, I almost NEVER look at achievements when I start a game, so I did the first playthrough w/o knowing what I could or should be doing to get the points. I just dont care about them right off the bat.

But yeah, with Star Wars, Prototype, Fallout 3, Too Human, Dead Space, and Gears 2 this year...Just...

Yeah, and in addition to that, I STILL have to get GTA IV. I'm sure I'll just have to rent at least two of the titles (probably Dead Space and The Force Unleashed).

Man, I've got a couple of achievements, but this game is made for you to spend a shit load of hours on it. A great game with a shit load of hours yet, single player is shit.

As soon as I get the achievement for Ashley and Liara, I'm going SOLDIER. I started off with the electronic guy to get achievements but it sucks. No fun. I'm not a Jedi fan so this blows.

Loading times, frame rates and such kill it though.

I still don't really understand how you say it blows and yet still say it's a great game, but whatever. I suppose if it gives you something to do that's all that matters.

It's the frame rates and loading times. It's just killer. I really don't like to explain too much. I'm talking too much. Great story and game, it's just the loading times and frame rate issues.

the only time I dislike the loading and/or waiting is when you are on that elevator in the Normandy. Holy *bleep*, could the thing go any slower to move down about 10 feet?

The ones at the Citadel aren't so bad because you get little news updates, and the load times that last 1-2 seconds in between areas isn't so much of a problem either.

As for being a soldier; I must admit, I had much more fun as a Vanguard. I'm going to be a Biotic next, only because I love using all of those powers. Lift is such an amazing technique, haha.
