Thanks Silver_Sky.
Unfortunately, unless you want me to start marking down as the Developer Journal's are updated, news seems to be a little slower than I was hoping lately.

No release date had yet been set that I know of. More than likely it will be the same date as the North American release date... I'll make a quick sweep of the links and come back.
No release dates announced, and I wouldn't trust the one in the Neoseeker profile.

Expect it winter 07. Or is it 06? I'm not quite sure. Actually, yes I am. Expect it in the future!

It's either winter 06 or spring 07, which is why ppl are having a tough time deciding between this, and Blue Dragon(1-1-2007)

Hey guys,
Unfortunately, due to my choice of not buying a 360 and my eventual lack of interest of the game thereof, this thread is no longer updated. If you want news, it's unlikely to come from me all that often, thanks.

Europe: January 12, 2007 Rest: TBA 2007
For the people too lazy to read a long preview I made a summary of several prewviews:
Mass Effect is a RPG. You play as Shephard and have to defend yourself and other humans from the genocidal machines. Luckily you don't have to do this on your own. You're aided by two other NPC's and travel in squads of three. They are fully customizable and can be given commands by using the D-Pad. There are many NPC's you get to choose from each having their own specialty varying from soldiers, tech specialists and Vanguards. When facing an enemy you can handle it in different ways. The easiest way: by trying to defeat it yourself while your squadmembers take care of themselves. Or the smart way: thoughtful stratagizing. If you choose the latter you might think you have to cook up a strategy in a matter of a few seconds. This however is not the case, simply press start or the back button to stop time. Now you can sit back and decide where to move your teammates.
Might be an idea to put this in the first post. You're free to add some information to the summary if you like. Seeing as this doesn't contain every feature the actual game does.

Oh man, I'm going to have to play an adept character. This isn't just going to raise the bar, it's going to pick it up and beat all the other RPG's to death with it.
Particularly pleased by
quoteThings begin with a deep character creation system, where you design Shepard's look, assign one of six character classes, and even pick specific facial expressions. You also get to decide on one of several backgrounds for the Commander, each of which alters certain plot elements and affects reactions from NPCs.
........ It's hard to say for certain how truly open the galaxy will be, but BioWare asserts that players have far more freedom than in KOTOR or Jade Empire. You could play quickly through Mass Effect without doing much exploration and complete it in 30-40 hours. But if you look at every nook and cranny of the galaxy, the experience should last considerably longer.
How much replayability/value for money exactly? Result!
