What ! executed ! what a strange game... If you're at the end of the game, did you recover the
scepter ? did you kill Halh Ganon ? Did the prince had the scepter ?

I didn't understand what you were talking about in the first paragraph. I should register where and why?

re: Arcatera a buggy game?

No, the Prince didn't have the scepter. Yes Hahl was eliminated, etc. I meant to say that if you wished to edit your messages, you have to be registered on any neoseeker site. Otherwise, it's a rather trivial thing.

I've been at the end of the game so many times, I've lost count! But as for you, since you waited and got the scepter from the thieves, that might make a difference.

According to the game developer, percentages for eliminating Rog or the Black Sun mearly shows how much research a gamer does throughout the game. But, Sascha Hussock did NOT say how important the percentages were concearning the Prince and the Priest.

p.s.
the register link is at the upper right of this screen.

re: Arcatera a buggy game?

SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY ROTTEN IN SENORA. The Prince still didn't have the Scepter ! GRRR! GRRR! GRRR!

But at least, I got a different ending this time. Jesiar returned to jail, my monk (which I left on the tour near the dongeon as you suggested) set free as Partur the other prisoner and Rog was returned to jail. The people of Senora was upset at Gargaryn because he didn't execute Rog so they deserted the temple, but they did not revolt against the prince.

I couldn't eliminate Hahl Ganon, but I gave the biggest donation to the temple.

Now what ? I'm wondering if I should start another game or just quit it ?

Are you still there ? I hope you were not working in NewYork last week...

re: Arcatera a buggy game?

I come by from time to time. Fortunately I'm not in NYC.

I really don't want to ruin your desire (whatever there is) for the game, but the game developer never admitted that the game will never end right. I suspect what they didn't comment on is true.

The only other option I can suggest is send Sascha an email, like I did (huss@westka.com, or is it huss@westka.de) I'm sure it's one of them, and wait........ Sooner or later you may get a response. Please try to be specific, particularly about the game ending, and don't be too aggressive. Sascha Hussock is under a lot of stress and a tight schedule with their newest project.

For now, I just completed Escape from Monkey Island, and have just installed a little known dos game, Bud Tucker: In Double Trouble. The character is an Indy type of character in Fate of Atlantis.

Yes, I played it long ago. Stopped for awhile on Bud Tucker for the pc and started on Anachronox. Fantastic cut-scene cinematics and great gameplay.

re: Arcatera a buggy game?

First, you need the metal skewer, NOT a metal staff. Then you need the correct pair of keys. The guide in Eastwarts near the gate (to outside) has one. Then you use the thongs on the keys and then the skewer on the keys.

You can buy a skewer at Huwan Takmorn's shop in Westham, that's the left store near the entrance.

re: Arcatera a buggy game?

I found Elvira in the forest and killed the bandits. She told me to free her and that she is too weak to walk on her own. Now I´ve tried everything I could thik of to make her come with me, but nothing did work! I healed her, gave her to eat, tried to put her in my pocket(how?!) - She keeps standig on the same place and doesn´t move. I´m really frustrated with this game!! Could anybody please help me?

re: Arcatera a buggy game?

It's easy. Get a large "sack" (I'm not sure of the good writing !) - some kind of big bag anyway - and click
with it on her. You can get this "sack" in the warehouse in eastham, or may be in the artillery house (
where Huwan taekworn is ) in Westham.

Bring her back to her father, Bobert Tongarve in Midtown. He's usually at home at night. You have to
knock on his door and wait till he appears on the balcony. Show him the bag... he should offer you
to come up. Don't show her to anyone else, they will think you're the one who kidnapped her...

You need a lot of patience with this game... and it's not so rewarding, but still I liked it a lot... good luck!

re: Arcatera a buggy game?

I started playing Arcatera a while ago, and I have been able to find the 1.2 patch to the game thanks to the topics on this site.

What does it fix? Just wondering since I have had problems with the game just closing down occasionally, and I'm out in Windows again. That also happens when I try to climb the tower outside Westham, and sometimes when I try to use the map.

I read that one of the posters on the topics here, Garr, mentioned there were two patches to the game. If so, where can I find the other patch?
