Not to be rude but, this game was announced nine years ago... that's one hell of a game life, even for an MMO.

Does anyone still play SWG? Cause I'd imagine that there aren't many players out there anymore...

I was wondering the same thing and looked it up and found that people say there are still a decent amount of players on here. It says that a few of main servers to choose from are the most heavily populated, so it seems like it's still running strong.

I'm thinking I might get back into this game too.

The game is at death's door.

That's what I thought, but after looking around at different forums discussing this game (and one of them was just made in August 09) where people where saying that in the main servers that is still a lot of of activity. In fact I saw some people talking about how it can be laggy sometimes because the servers aren't used to having many players on it.

I will have to start paying the monthly fee again and start all over again to see for myself, but according to some users on some servers it's still very active! Hopefully they are right, though.

No mate it isnt active. The game is nothing anymore, there is like 1 main server left. Waste your money on it if you like.

Just wait for the Old Republic.

Its still going ok on Farstar, can't comment on other servers but seems ok to me. Lots of activity.

I stopped playing before the CU and NGE. I would love to try the game again but I'm worried the game will have changed too drastically. Really miss the old days of cruising around in my landspeeder on my master TK Imperial Wookie

The experience of coming out the spaceport on my rebel char worrying about getting stopped by the imp stormtroopers is something that to this day has not been replicated in any MMO. It's really a shame that they turned this game into a WoW clone, I think if they'd stuck with the original format then it would of offered a unique product in the MMORPG market.

I was on Far-star for 2 years until they killed the game & my GEN guild dissolved. I'm waiting for The Old Republic, it looks like what SWG could have been if they'd spent the money.

Yes but only on populated servers. I played for about 2 years until a few months ago because of personal reasons. In order of most populated to least populated...

Dont join any other server or you will be playing by yourself. Most people who play nowdays are the hardcore fans and veterans. The game is not really noob friendly.
