Why is this considered Harvest moon? |
|
Sure, you farm, get a wife and fish... but you also have to fight off blood sucking monsters so they don't eat you or your crops... I don't think it should be associated with Harvest Moon... Its some what of a disgrase! I Value Harvest Moon because I do not like fighting games... this is just an insult!

I've read on a few site that they weren't gonna say that's it's part of the HM series but after some discations they decided to put it in the serie I guess because of the relations between the two.

*old yes, but ...*
I think it has more RPGness because it's developed by Neverland Co., the creators of the Lufia games. ^-^;; But it's still Natsume. I think. bleh. Because Natsume publishes the Lufia games outside of Japan. -------------------

She wasn't complaining about the fighting...she wanted to know why this game itself is related with Harvest Moon....
Anyway, I think the reason being is because you still run a small farm and there's still a town/village near you to visit people. Compared to the Harvest Moon games, this will have a lot of fighting in it really. Raising and battling monsters...which is a little strange I admit because Harvest Moon was based off Life style...guess they gave it more of a twist in this. -------------------

this is how harvest moon is gonna not be played by people any more. people like harvest moon cuz there isnt any fighting in it and now that there is, who says that its not gonna have guns in the future? the old harvest moons are better. no fighting involved.

Of course people like the old harvest moon...but you don't know if this game will lift off....if it's making a big hit in japan, you don't know that it'll make a big hit in America or Europe. That's just one person's opinion against the many other people.
I wasn't sure to take a liking to this game or not...but now I have. IT seems interesting and challenging. Give the companies a chance, they are just trying different things. -------------------

Its not like you HAVE to fight..
I, for one, thinks its a step up. Think about this: In all HM games, what threat (aside from sickness) has there ever been to your animals? There has never been a "wolf" that wanted to kill your live stock and you had to fend it off by shooting at it (just an ilistration.. you probably slash'em in this)? In real life, farmers and ranchers are always having to fight off animals like wolfs and foxes. In this, it might not be wolfs and foxes, but atleast I get a sense of pride when I save my livestock. Me, I will just play the game like all HM games. and every now and then I'll fight. It really adds to the effect of the life on a farm. ------------------- GameSkank Best community ever. Actually in Back To Nature, if you left your chickens outside, a wild dog would come by and possibly kill one of them, you have to try and scare it off or have your dog scare it off.
I don't think it's a step up...because it's changed from a reality simulation of what could happen if you were to work on a farm...this is (in my opinion) a cheaply imaginated game someone thought up in five minutes, but it still interests me I must say. -------------------
