Episode 2, Mission 2 |
|
This may seem pathetic...but I can't figure out how to disable that $%@# Ferengi ship before it warps out. I've tried low-intensity phasers......targeting different subsystems such as warp engines, impulse, etc.....and even trying to hold him in a tractor beam. Can someone help out, since some of you have progressed as far as Episode 8 ? Thanks !

Just keep blasting away at his warp drive until he stops. It seems that the whole point of this game is to shoot as fast as you can. Usually this means intercepting and shooting at full power before your bridge crew even opens their mouth. Also, bump up all your systems to 125%. Hope this helps.

This is ridiculously difficult for some reason.
I have everything boosted up to a hundred and twenty-five percent, I have done this about four times already. The most effective I've been was to neutralize the port warp drive by constantly swinging from side to side and using all of my available phaser arcs, but the guy just manages to blast off with a wounded starboard drive. This wouldn't be quite so bad if the entire game ended if you fail one objective - and only in the second mission. I guess they couldn't be bothered to generate a flexible mission system. It is alot of fun, and I haven't tried multiplayer yet. I'm worried that multiplayer will just be some dumb deathmatch, however. Ugh.

You need to not waste time, and set the mode to "Disable," and also target the warp engines. Felix will take out the impulse first, then the warp. It is possible to do, you just gotta be quick and forceful. Then you have to deal with... nevermind

Dont' orbit the moon that is a mistake just fly there manually. Set up your target to the ferg at 210 K as soon as Cards leave bounce on Ferg with 125% power to engines. Set it to disable. SHouldnt be a problem let the comp do the flying just change power when ariving on ferg. The cards will pop out and try to destroy the ferg from telling you info make sure you launch some protons at him (kill him). Hope this Helps

I've boosted engines and weapons to 125% and focused on disabling the Ferengi warp engines but it does no damage. It also says, while firing, that Felix is rotating through all fire arcs. Do you use tactical mode to blast away manually or just leave it to Felix. It seems that it doesn't fire all that often and I've got the flight set to "Close Distance" at all time so I'm always a max of 50Km away.

Follow this:
Red Alert. Full engines and weapons. Click on tactical, then the ferengi ship and expand the list. Select warp engines. Click Disable. This will work. I'm in Captain difficulty, however, and I'm having problems with the second part of Episode 8, mission 2. It sucks. There's also bugs in the game...along the way so don't be surprised.
