Granular limit error |
|
I've been playing on duke3d and i never can get to the end of it. Not because it's too hard. Because of those blasted granular errors that make the game crash. They seem to happen in specific spots. I can list some of them. ------------------- this signature never ends ------------------- this signature never ends ------------------- this signature never ends ------------------- Never mind

Hmm, I'm not sure, if it's good idea to use dosbox in this case. On my 1.7 Ghz 512 RAM I can't run Duke Nukem 3d like it runs in "normal" way. It needs a lot of memory maybe. I extended the memory in Dosbox and the result was terrible with sound that was actually missing the actions. Is this a problem with computer? Is there any other way to fix it? Can I simply run duke in MS-DOS on my second computer with winXP? I know i can but my point is, if it can be run in DOS with a normal digitized sound and music effects.

Just use JFDuke3D, it is a source port that does what source ports do, run old games on newer computers. Don't result to DosBox unless you have a badass machine. JFDuke3D adds better rendering and options to have 3D models so you can give the game a modern look.
