Custom Maps

Hi there

I´ve downloaded some Custom maps from here: http://www.battlefield-1942.net/index.php?action=downloads&kategorie=21

My problem with them is, that I can play them, but my mates and enemies won´t move a single meter (no matter if I play them in Single- or Multiplayer). Does anyone have an idea what I can do about it?

re: Custom Maps

It might be something with the settings of the game. Or maybe it's your system, try posting your system specs.

re: Custom Maps

If the enemies just sit in a large clum it means that the maker of the map didn't make an AI definition file. (Which defines how the enemies should act on that map.) You could email the creator of the map and ask if anyone has created an updated version with bot support.

re: Custom Maps

@Strayfire I´ve got an AMD 1800+, 384 mb ram and a Gforce4 mx 440 Card. I know this ain´t the best system on earth, but I can play all the other maps without any problem so I don´t think it´s because of my system.

@Dark Reaper: Good idea, I´ll try that.
Shall I post it here if I get an answer (don´t know if this is of public interest?)

Other people might be looking for the same thing so yes you should post them here.

re: Custom Maps

Now, I have been waiting several days for an reply, but still got no email. I´ve read in their forum, that another guy had some similar problems. It seems that it is quite difficult to build in a real AI because you´ll have to set waypoints where the bots are moving to. That is why most of the maps are for multiplayer only.
It also seems, that you can try to build in AI afterwards with a programm called Battlecraft (many of the maps are also build with this)

PS Hope I didn´t make too many mistakes
