Hello people!

My friend gave me a present, Battlefield 1942.
Nice, everyone would think, except for me. I can't play the game no longer. 3 years ago I borrowed if from my friend and there was no problem playing the game. Now I recently changed my screen, I use af flatscreen now. Everytime I doubleclick the .exe file my screen turns black and the game opens until I can choose "play game".
When I click "play game" my screen turns black and suddenly I'm back on my explorer.
Does anyone know what the problem is? It used to play very well, the only thing I changed is a new flatscreen, I work with a pentium IV, with normally all the latest drivers.
