Hey everyone when installing BF 1942 i get an error message about 34% into the installation saying "specified component cannot be found in the media. An attempt was made to access a component that does not exist in the named media" so yea.. any help would be apreciated.. thanks

Did you buy the CD? If you bought it, there can be no problem, unless your CD-ROM drive is too slow. Otherwise, you will get a free, crappy bootleg version.

this is not true
i had the same problem while trying to install it on kubuntu and what is happening is it is trying to find it in the wrong place. You need to redirect it to where it needs to be | |
