I don't want to be rude, but you all think just because you have high level pokemons, you will win. Amateurs.

re: who can beat me |

That's not the reason. Mostly i looked to the stats.
Here's my party: Mew Mewtwo Charizard Dragonite Gyarados Zapdos They're all on lv 100, but that's not the reason why they're good. I learn the attacks, and they're good enough, in my opinion. ------------------- ![]()

What exactly might those stats be, as well as the attacks?

quote marcibanjoOh really now. What evidence do you have? BTW, that wasn't even for you, but since you got into this argument, I'll respond. You are considered as an amateur, and that goes for everyone. There will always be a person better than you at something. ------------------- ![]()

In a finite world, such as this one, that theory breaks down.

What evidence do you have on backing that up? BTW, we are so going off topic. I don't mind if you don't reply back.

re: who can beat me |

Take any random someone as a starting point. Then, usually you should be able to find someone "better".
And you'll find someone "better" than the last...and so on... But there are only 6.3 billion individuals to choose from. After so long, you'll have to stop because there won't be anyone who can be classified as "better". The chain has to end somewhere. No need for any evidence, except that the Earth (and hence its population) is not an infinite expanse. And topicality only matters to the first post in a topic.

Well, look at it this way. In a card game a few friends of mine and I play, I can build a deck that beats one person all the time, his deck beats another friend of mine's all the time, then his deck beats mine all the time. There can be no one "best" person because there is always someone with a slightly different strategy that can completely beat it. Pokemon is a matter of preference, not simply about strength and weakness... remember the quote you get when you defeat KAREN in Gold/Silver/Crystal: "Strong Pokemon, weak pokemon, that is only the selfish perception of people."

Yeah that´s right but there are differents things. vIf you sent out a Charizard vs an bulbasaur, you surely know Charizard will win.

Exactly - it's all a matter of type-matching. A well-balanced team not only include many different types, but each of those pokemon know a wide variety of moves. But it's the person that has a better variety of type-matching that will win... but there's only a finite number of moves you can have, and it's possible taht someone can break through that defense, even if their defense is weaker to someone else. There is no one strongest party. There is no one best trainer.

Against his mid-level pokemon, I would have to say that you woul dbe seriously messing up if you lost... but even then, you still have to play your cards right - a level 60 Alakazam has a higher speed than a level 100 Charizard - combine that with Charizard's low special, and you have a dangerous spot. in Silver, my Alakazam started the Elite 4 at level 42, wound up being level 48 and beat all five of the trainers on its own - chew on that while you remember it took on 5 Dark-types and OHKO'd a level 50 Dragonite.

re: who can beat me |

Charizard's ideal Speed is 298. The absolute lowest Speed it can have at L100, which requires a 1-in-16 chance to be as out-of-favor as it possibly can and requires that you don't defeat anything which Charmander or its evolutions in battle at any time, is 205. The highest speed Alakazam can possibly have at level 60 is 204, meaning that it's impossible for Alakazam to outrace Charizard at 40 levels down.
Charizard's Special isn't that low--still 268. Head-to-head, Alakazam's Psychic at level 60 causes only 51-60 damage to Charizard (14-16%). Thunderpunch doesn't fare much better (57-68 damage, 15-18%), and Seismic Toss pulls a constant 60 for 16%. In any case it'll take 6-8 hits to finish off Charizard, which is an extremely slow clip. Going the other way, Charizard gets Earthquake. One shot from that gets 167-197 damage, for 87-103%. There's a 36% chance to finish off Alakazam in one hit, and the rest of the time it will be two. With a 40-level advantage, there is no reason for Charizard to lose to Alakazam at any time.

quote marcibanjoI'm not being cocky. It's just that there's no way that guy could ever beat my team. quote LuxNecronisThen the person who has the team with the least counters would be the best. I don't know of any team that has less counters than mine (my team is only countered by LK Drumlax, sleep trapping and OHKOs). ------------------- ![]() "Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil." - Thomas Mann
