Not to sound like an idiot, but is there anything specific I have to do to beat the time-trial in the Colysium, or do I just go through regular mode at super-speed?

i dont have a clue what you mean but you have to finish the whole tournement. if that helps

The separate tournaments in the Olympius Collisium, like the
Phil, Pegasus, Hercules, and Hades cups. After sealing Traverse Town
the first one is available, just heartless. You talk to Phil and he asks which one you want to enter, you pick one of the four, and he asks how you want to do it, regular (with Donald and Goofy), alone (just Sora), or set time-limit (with Donald and Goofy, but with a clock counting down from 3 minutes on the first three and 20 minutes
on hades.) You get an award the first time you finish each mode.

Phil Cup-(1)Gravity(2)Mythril shard(3)AP up
Pegasus Cup-(1)Strike Raid(2)Mythril(3)Defense up
Hercules Cup-(1)Yellow Trinity&herc's shield(2)Orichalcum(3)Power up
Hades Cup-(1)Trinity Limit(2)Save the Queen(3)Save the king
1=togather.
2=solo.
3=timed.

you just have top finish the first 3 in 3 mins and the hades in 20 mins. theres nothing specific about it you just do it.

No, when you talk to Phil he asks which cup, and how you want to do it. The options are: Enter Togather, enter alone;just Sora, and set time-limit. When I said I "got" the time-trial, I ment that I unlocked it.

oh that makes it more clear.
when you win the cup the normall way you get to do it as just sora.
when you do that you get to do the time trial.
and if you do that i believe you get to start the cup at any seed you wish like
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 or 10

up to 50 for the hades cup.
so you must have finished the phil cup with just sora.

The odd thing I should mention is that on my first file, I had the first 3 cups, and beat normal and alone mode on Phil and Pegasus, but timed mode wouldn't open. The sad part is that I wasn't paying attention and overwrote it with a new file, I then unlocked and beat all three modes in the Phil cup. And you're right about selecting the seed thing.
