re: HAVING A HARD TIME DEFEATING DIRNA |

Well stick with the party from the battle with Ethereal Queen, but don't worry about transfer resistance. Make sure Brahms doesn't have the Conqueror's Armor equipped or he'll be toast in no time. Reflect Armor is preferred for everyone that can equip heavy armor.
At least two characters should have Ham-Stars (especially the one who will tank). Also make sure that your tank has the Tri-Emblem equipped, because it will negate all damage from Dirna's Soul Crush. (High Fire Resistance is recommended for all characters). What makes Dirna difficult is that her and the demishadows have the ability to use magic/attacks of all elements. Reflect Armor and Tri-Emblem will take care of elemental damage for at least one of your characters (and reduce damage a good bit for the other one). Otherwise, focus your attacks on the demishadows (one at a time) and then take on Dirna. I actually highly recommend the use of the Observation skill instead of any direct stat boosting skills (Fists of Iron, etc.) if you can make it fit with the particular character. Brahms would be a decent choice as far as dealing damage is concerned, but he's also the most likely to die during the battle due to his poor elemental resistances. As a result, I'd suggest you equip Observation on your tank. If that tank happens to be one of the girls (Hrist, Valkyrie, Alicia, Lenneth), then you may have to get rid of Toughness to make room (Observation + Psychosoma is 8 CP). If you do use one of them, then make sure they have high resistance to fire and lightning. (I'd say aim for 40% on lightning and fire should definitely be 100%). Also, that character should have at least 18000 HP as a base if you aren't using Toughness to take care of damage from physical attacks as well. -------------------

That's a really risky strategy. I like to stick with dragging the battles out as long as I can for the fights against Freya, EQ, and Dirna.

That's good to hear, because I am working on one as well (as well as one for EQ). Let's see what we can come up with and we can critique each other to find the best possible setups.

What's exactly so special about your setup? Your strategy is stupidly risky and it's not like the payoff is significantly greater than any other.
GG man, really. -------------------
