What should I do (may or may not be spoilers) |
|
Hey.
I'm about half way through chapter 3, just killed the Kraken. I had no idea what the hell to do with the way the battle system works, until I looked on here and have only just got Alicia, and Rufus, over level 10. Also I have let three Eihejars (sorry if spelt wrong) go. Was wondering as I feel as though I've missed a bit, as I couldn't understand what I was doing until now, whether to just start the game over. I'm not really having any difficulty with the fights at the moment!

No, you can still beat it without too many difficulties. If anything at all you should be restarting for, then that would be the Tri-Emblem (missable if you did not read the poem when you were in Dipan in Chapter 2), but not even that is really necessary.
Though, in Sahma Desert you will find a heavy warrior relic. If you don't have too many Einherjar left it might be a good idea to save before materializing so you can reset if you don't get Zunde. He is the best choice for chapter 3 and one of the 2 best heavy warrior Einherjar in the game. ------------------- My Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/TerryTheDesignated My Forum: http://s15.zetaboards.com/Digimon_Dimension/index/

personally what i like to do on my first playthrough of any game is to do it without any sort of assistance from a guide or anything like that. i find figuring out puzzles and defeating tough bosses and discovering rare items or weapons on my own is by far more rewarding and fun for me.
on the other hand though i know i'm still probably gonna miss out on a ton of hidden items or sidequests, or even some cool strategies that people have discovered that help you out a lot. so on my second playthrough i'll go online and check out some faqs so i can have a "perfect game", so to speak. in the end though, doing whatever makes it fun for you is what matters. it's a video game, if you're not enjoying it then what the hell are you doing playing it? :Þ ------------------- Swing that bottle

you don't have to restart, you aren't far into the game.
btw, I'd recommend keeping all the stat boosting items until the very end, you'll need them.

Thanks for the replies!
I was only looking because when I first entered chapter three I was at level 5 - 6 with most characters, which I thought was quite low. I couldn't understand the battle system until I watched a vid on YouTube. I died way to much trying to defeat the Kraken and kept skippinbg fights cause i'd get hit once and die! Was driving me insane. Now I kick arse! No I still suck a bit, but getting there, very addictive game once you know what you are doing. Thanks for the hints etc again.
