It's the worst of the three games, and I don't mean that in a Halo 2 sort of way.

If you played FFNY and you really liked it than the answer is No. Only buy this game if you intend to melt it down, otherwise run very far and buy something different.

If you played FFNY and thought it was just alright than the answer is maybe. This game is completely different from the other two versions of this game , so much in fact that we have to even wonder why they gave it the same name. In that regard if you thought FFNY was okay but wanted something different with your favorite hip hop artist it than this might be the different you were looking for.

If you have never played Def Jam FFNY than go and play it and then refer to the above after you are done playing.

You should take notice that I never say the answer is yes.

The game putting it nicely is terrible and game places like IGN are just trying to be as nice as possible by atleast giving this game a 7 as it honestly does not even deserve that much.

There are a very small group of people that like this game but I doubt any of them have even played Def jam: fight For New York or they did play the game and did not enjoy the game as much as most people did.

well mayb i should give it a rent and see how it is and yea i played def jam ffny it was OKAY the create a player was crap my guys always looked the same well ill give it a rent and see how it is... can u gus suggest me any other game to by cuz my birthday is in 2 days

What are you guys talkin abou tlook at first i know its so annoying all the blingage and gloves and jewelry and shining blingage you can have on djffny is not on this game yes that annoyed me at first but this game is amazing. trust me get it. it is the best out of all 3 fighting is amazing u have to use turntables master the beats and use hazards to ur advantage throw your opponents through windows tables anythign an the animation of the background is great it moves to he beat its a crazy game GET IT!! the story mode is great u start off a homeless G and you work your way up thru the ranks hiring all the great rappers (u choose) and publish there songs invest on them either make profit or not and then u try become the ICON of business get it now!

The minigames are nice, but the fighting mechanics are so flawed that you are wasting money on this game.

Do yourself a favor and rent it. Then never play it again.

wtf the fighting is great u can punch kick taunt and then kick totally distracts them the blocking is great and the environmental hazrads is a great idea. i was abit annoyed at first cos ffny is better but this is a great game yall just haters

Blingage and everything else aside. You can not tell me that the fighting in this game is better than FFNY. Ok its sort of cool to use the music to beat up your opponent but you never had to do that once to beat someone. Hell if you actually landed some hits you wouldnt need to ust he stupid f'ing turntables. Also, this is not a fighting game in my opinion. Compared to FFNY no. You start out with whatever stats that the gaem has for you(cause you never get to see them) you are not playing to make yourself a better fighter you are playing to make money by signing new artists and then trying to get the songs to do well. Hell the fights were to choose who you wanted to recruit, take out someone f'ing with one of your rappers, and one maybe two people thrown inther that actually needed their ass kicked. On the basis of the fighting mechanics, you get to switch your fighting style and thats it. Ooooo, im better at doing the turntable bullshit. The only upside to anyof these were the fact that it made you a little faster for one or two fighting styles, but you ended up not being able to do much damage. I could go on about how this game is nowhere better (except the graphics and a few song choices) than FFNY. If yall reall want i will post a few more reasons if these people can not stop sucking EA's dick just cause they put out a game. Hell i had a much better idea what they sould do. Im not going ot post just incase someone steals it and decides to make the game. (i would get no rayalties if that happened not good. lol)

I thought it was horrible, simply horrible.

as it has been said it is very hard to get the hang of and the is no visible health bar showing to let yo know for far down the other person is. also it is way to easy to make money in the game. i would say that ffny is much better. also vendetta is better than this.
