Sabretooth is pretty tough when you first get to him. If you dont have at least level 3 blocking, go back through some previous missions on harder difficulties and build up your stats.

Your blocking has to be at least level 3 to block Sabretooth's 3 hit combo without taking big damage. It helps to have max attack strength, and at least 4 on both health and healing factor. You can get by with 3 on fury, but the higher it is, the better.


When Sabretooth goes into fury mode during the first part, try to avoid him until his fury decays. Then get back in there with some combos, block his 3 hit attacks, and hit him as often as you can. Bit by bit you will whittle his overall life bar down, despite the many times he enters fury mode.

About halfway through the fight, you knock sabretooth down to a lower level and have an opportunity to fully heal. Sabretooth should be at about half life.

You can follow the same basic strategy with him as you used before, until Sabretooth has only 1/4 of his life left. Then he enters a PERMANENT fury mode. The only real surefire way to take him out is to enter your own fury mode, and just keep hacking at him as much as you can. The more hits you land, the longer your fury bar lasts. Rip into him with a barrage of attacks until your fury bar runs out, or until he is defeated.


When I first reached him, I couldnt defeat him. I had to go back through some of the previous missions and earn more attributes to add to blocking, because I had 0 blocking when I first got there. If you dont block, you have a much more difficult fight ahead of you.

Try that strategy, and if you still have trouble, go back through prior levels and try to get him as maxed out as you can to make things easier.

i think the only moves i used against him were the double triangle, the headbut, and the jump triangle. i can't remember in what order but when i did those in the right one. i could do all of those without him hitting me and then roll away until he was ready for another hit.
