Hey, new to Neoseeker, but not new to PS3.

Best games are:

Shooter: Call Of Duty 4/ Resistance/ Unreal Tourament 3
Action: Metal Gear Solid 4/ Uncharted: Drakes Fortune/ Devil May Cry 4
RPG: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion/ Folklore
Driving: Burnout Paradise/ Gran Turismo 5: Prologue/ Motorstorm
Fighting: Soul Caliber IV

Other great ones: Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. For me that is one of the best PS3 games

I own all these games and more, but these are must buys

You mean the one with an annoying top-down view, a pitifully weak Snake, poor weapons, no CQC and no first-person aiming?

Alright, the original MGS is one of the best games for nostalgia around - but I still can't fathom how people can seriously claim it has better gameplay than MGS4. It's just illogical. Story, setting etc. you can make an argument for - but in regards to simple gameplay mechanics, it's miles behind MGS4.

In all honesty, I love both, but I still prefer the gameplay of the first Metal Gear Solid. Sure, considering all the new features, controls and things of the like of Metal Gear Solid 4, it is miles behind, but it just feels like a slow Third Person Shooter to me. If I had played Twin Snakes though, that would probably end up being my favourite.

wtf are you talking about?

• the camera in MGS was great.
• You're supposed to remain hidden and not get shot at. Not absorb bullets.
• MGS4 deserves several marks taken off for having no SOCOM.
• Can't really argue about CQC.
• First Person shooting would've ruined several parts of the game, the fight with Ocelot comes to mind.

MGS4 is the best game for the PS3 everythign about it is great.

GTA4 was weak in my opinion.

I also thought GTA IV was weak. IMO the best game ive played is either Oblivion or Uncharted. Ive yet to play MGS4. Actually ive never played any mgs game for more than an hour.

i will be buying my new ps3 in a coupla weeks time and looking at the numerous thread, sites and forums for choosing the best or top 3 games i was left dizzy !

I figure i will be needing 2 to 3 games to buy with teh ps3
i chose MGS4 and the other two i am quite not sure about them. To be honest i am not that gamer neither i have the budget to buy each great ps3 game.

So if someone can recommend me a game or two that are long enough and nice would be great ... i didn't play a single game on ps3 so these two better be good .. i like games from ps2 like COD tacticals like mm.. splinter cell or syphon filter dark mirror ... action/adventure GTA possibly .... i heard this game called Uncharted is cool .. what do you think ?.. car games mm .. anything that would be long and nice would be great... sports defintly PES
