Ok so I went out for a meal with my friends earlier and my Brother says to me that he had to format the PS3, ok then. So I turn it on and my themes and demos have been deleted. Is there any way to get them back?.

I cant tell you how angry I am right now.

Wait you guys don't backup your game saves? Aww man that must suck, you have any saves of value? e.g. GTA4 60 hours in? MGS4 Act 4?

Next time use a USB drive and backup your game saves!

I didnt even know how to back up Save Data.

I had every emblem in MGS4 aswell.

But apart from that I didnt really have anything THAT important, could you guys tell me how to back up my saves incase this happens again in future.

Way to backup files:

For Full System Backup:-

At the XMB menu screen scroll to >Settings>System Settings>Backup Utility>Back Up

For Game Saves:-

Or go to Game>Saved Data Utility. then Click Triangle on each save and Copy. Then place them into the USB Drive.

6. Extract (unzip) to memory stick
7. Plug into PS3
8. Save data utillity
9. Memory at the top
