I can't have a biased opinion, as I have both of the systems. Maybe it's abit biased, as I have had the 360 for a year, and the PS3 for 2 days.

XBOX 360: I've got to say it now, most of the exclusives are INCREDIBLE. And the fact that the 360 has a larger exclusive list, and alot of them coming laster this year. Online play is usually great if you have a decent connection.

PS3: So far, the only game I have is BIA:HH, but so far, I haven't noticed much difference in the graphics between the systems. The online is much laggier then the 360, but that may be the game. I watched Doomsday on it, and it is better then the add-on HD Player for the 360.

Overall: It depends on what you actually want.

A 360 is more for playing games on/offline and a PS3 is more a Media Centre.

Despite I own the PS3, i play on my friend's 360 quite a bit. I would say that the PS3 is one to get; the 360 has an infallible online service with the only downside of monthly payments (or anually, whatever you want to do). The PS3 online service is decent and reliable and costs absolutely nothing. With the installment of trophies and upcoming firmware updates such as screenshot takers and HOME, there is a lot to look forward to.

When comparing the actual power of the two machine, PS3 excels by far. Blu Ray, the conqueror of HD DvDs is another reason to pick up a PS3 to watch your favourite movies in explosive HD without forking out hundreds more for a top notch Blu Ray DvD player. I would also argue that the PS3 looks a lot prettier than the dull white of the 360.

For me it's not the actual console's features that sells it, it's the games. The standing arguement is that 360 has more games than the PS3. Fair enough, but people need to take into account that it was released a year before the PS3. As in terms of exclusives, i think PS3 absolutely batters 360 to a pulp. Gears of War, Fable and Halo are the three flagship titles for the 360. With Fable 2 probably being ported to the PC and Bungie gaining independence from Microsoft, there is a bleak lineup for the 360 after 2008. Sure, the 360 has had its exclusives but they remain exclusives no more. Lost Planet, Overlord, Bioshock, Last Remnant and Eternal Sonata are just a few of many 360 titles that have ported or are being ported to the PS3.

As for upcoming exclusives, PS3 conquers again in sheer numbers. I don't mean to sound harsh, but it seems that 360 have become desperate to hold onto something for themselves and have therefore invested in snatching up "exclusive DLC" for big titles such as GTA4 and Fallout 3. A cunning move, but without exclusive GAMES, the 360 is slowly fading away.

I don't get why people act as if Microsoft won't release a single game while Sony will shit out truckloads.

The games I named are the ones that interest me, atm. I can name the others, but those are the only exclusive titles I'm looking forward atm.

Oh I know, but my last statement is still true of plenty of people in this forum alone.

Well if you get a 360 we won't have to see your next thread that will read "Which game should I get for my new PS3?!"

Personally never played the 360 but looks comparable. Personally I wouldn't want to pay for online gaming, and I enjoy the titles on the PS3 so I shy away from XBOX.

I asked first of all why the PS3 exclusives are so much better than the 360's, not for a list of the upcoming ones. The PS3 exclusives you listed aren't out so how they "batter" the 360's when you haven't played them is strange. Do you think every one on that list will be worth picking up?

If you can't give me a reason why you think that then fine, but don't try and fob me off with a list. I know there are plenty of PS3 exclusives coming out, but there will also be plenty of 360 exclusives coming out in the near future which an unbelievable amount of people seem to ignore. I can't for the life of me work out why.
