Seriously. I will NEVER download a movie again. XBox Live runs circles around the PSN. It's free sure but we pay for the movies or rentals and it is just not worth it! They should suspend the service until they can improve it.

I never tryed to get a movie off PSN. I got a game download off it. And I agree it takes too long. It took about 4 hours to download it. But the little stuff like the things off little big planet does not take long

You shouldn't view your one personal experience as a complete vision for the whole service. Personally, I must have over 100 downloads from all aspects of the PSN/PS Store and it has always maximized my internet connection. I've never had one slow download before.

That's because LBP stuff is a couple of MBs, game downloads are a few GBs, major difference.

Um, sorry but your internet is either really crappy or your ISP sux ballz, because game downloads do not take long for me. Quest for Booty (a 3GB download) took about 30 minutes for me.

Sony can't make your internet go faster. You get what you pay for.

I find that difficult to believe. I have downloaded MANY movies and TV shows as well as games. I live in Houston and was without cable for quite a while after Ike hit. The PSN is s...l...o...w. I'm downloading a movie I started two hours ago and it is at 53%. If it were on XBox Live or PC I would be done with it. This is not a one time complaint it is after many slow returns. Now I'm just finished with the PSN and frustrated.

EDIT: Ha ha ha ha! My Internet connection is the fastest available! I download at over 3Mb per second! Funny how XBox doesn't have the same problem and neither does my PC. Try downloading a movie before you post such a comment.

My connection has a 50% signal strength and most downloads take less than half an hour. I don't know what's wrong with your PS3's connection, but this seems like a very isolated incident, so don't be waltzing around like PSN raped your momma.

Again, the other devices don't seem to have that problem. Have you tried downloading a MOVIE? What is stupid is a service that doesn't work and people that swear by it.

How many and which programs are running on your comp. or any other device that may be using your internet. Each little thing that actually uses your internet decreases it's speed by that much.

Well how quick is your connection supposed to be? There could be other small problems slowing down downloads.

And just to point out another flaw in your point, you don't have the fastest internet available. My d/l speed can go up to 8MB, but usually is about 5MB and that's not the fastest internet. There are people with 30+ MBPS, lol.

Its all reliant on your own connections. PSN service has no effect on how fast you download something, I was thinking everyone could comprehend that...

If you have a ballz connection, don't blame it on PSN, blame your provider...

I have a 2MBPS connection and it took me 10 mins to download the Tom Clancys' Endwar demo (1567MB) and if all of us have good connections and no problem with the PSN then its your shitty provider.
