	AaI~ Well i'm quite new to the PS3, got one for Christmas(an 80GB one) and it can't play PS2 games, so is it just the 80GB PS3 that can't play PS2 games? -------------------

	don't sell them yet, there's rumours that a downloadable bc will arrive when the ps2 life cycle is over.

	yea, they took out PS2 support so they could sell more PS2 systems but they can always add in a PS2 emulator update once the system is discontinued. -------------------

	60GB console versions can run Ps2 game, and I do believe any version can run PS1 games (haven't tried it). 	I got the same problem, no ps2 and got a few games lying around and my 80 gb which i got for christmas wont play anything ps2..... guess ill wait for updates.
