I have a new modem ever since my mom got comcast. The older modem I had worked perfetly fine when I put the internet settings to automatic. Now that I got this new modem it won't work. I put the ip manually so obtaining ip works but when it goes to internet connections it fails. It gives me some number when it fails DNA error 8801 I forgot the rest.
Any help guys? | |

I don't know how to reset this modem it doesn't have any button on it.

Most routers will reset just by unplugging it, then plugging it back in after a minute or so.
Are you trying to connect wired, or wirelessly? -------------------  Your PS3 so big... me play you long time! | |

If that doesn't work, maybe it is a port issue. That will require changing settings on the router. You do this with your web browser on your PC. Usually, you enter 192.168.1.1 in the web address field. It may be something similar but different... check the router manual.

that would work on most routers as itb needs to be reseted
