I just saw it at £7.99, but i have £2.44 in my wallet. So that means i would only have £7.44 with the compulsary £5 top-up.
Therefore, i will not buy this game. Sony should let you choose the amount you top-up -------------------

re: Final Fantasy VII on PSN |

So I bought the game, downloaded it, installed it, booted it up, got to the first save point and guess what? I don't know how to save it.
It says I don't have a memory card, but I can't fit a psone memory card into a ps3. So I press the PS button, and I press the assign slots assuming it was to do with the memory or save function, nope none available it says. Ok so i check the manual that is viewable when i press the PS button. It tells me to follow the instructions and save it PSone style. So I'm back to square one. Surely Sony doesn't expect me to keep it on everyday, all night, so i can keep playing the game. I'm convinced I'm stupid, please help if you can. ------------------- 'These people are still a part of that system, and that makes them our enemy. quote Cloudstrife87Oh the regualr XMB menu, you have to "create" a PS1 memory card. Its in the game section in between game save data and game utility, it will looks like 2 memory cards. I think the rest should be self explanatory as you do it. ------------------- ![]() "Rock and you shall recieve"

FFVII is totally worth $10, it's a great game.
Ocarina of Time is still better than it though

quote Chris717So, you're complaining about the price where places that sells this disc games it's raised to $60-$100 dollars? Sorry but mindboggling. quote HilaryDuffGtaSE basically put themselves in a position with all the beating around the bush and statements like "Compilation isn't over" where a remake has to happen. Otherwise they'll lose a shit ton of fans. FF7 remake is a money making machine, more so than any new game that'll come out which I said before. In a business standpoint, remake is a Green Mine that would be idiotic of SE NOT to do. They already expressed their deep interest in a remake which sorta confirms that could be the next project after they finish with the current titles. ------------------- Welcome to Crisis Core forum Welcome to Bad Company 2 God of War 3 official forum community

I agree with FB' - they are gunning for this. They don't have the funds for it just yet though, so they're doing what they can to saturate the market. With Dissidia, the 13's, 14's extremely early announcement, the compilation hints, 'Advent super mega better than you edition' - not going to stop. Their ultimate goal would be to remake the original, tweak it to allow more expansions to the world, and then churn it into its own series with multiple spin offs.
I do find the number system behind the FF games to be pointless at this point though. To those that are new to it (yeah, I know - who, right?), it would appear silly. They should just give them standard titles. ------------------- ![]()

quote Mr GrayI think it's more of a tradition. Started off with 1 through 12(actual games), 11 and 14 I don't recognize as a FF game only cause it's a MMO and it's not a standard offline game. Although I do agree with differentiating the MMO's and the regular offline FF games with names. Like if they gave 14 as "Final Fantasy Rapture". ------------------- Welcome to Crisis Core forum Welcome to Bad Company 2 God of War 3 official forum community

re: Final Fantasy VII on PSN |
quote Final BladeThe game is overrated because: It's characters were not that interesting, unique, or deep. It was just one of the first games with a solid story to be recognized by the majority of people. Breath of Fire, the Mana series, the Tales series, and Phantasy Star had been doing it for years previously. The combat system is not fun or unique in any way. It was basically a rehash of a fighting system we saw back on the NES The score is great, but good music has been in a number of previous games, such as Castlevania. Again, the heroes are not unique, nor are the villains. OMG Sephiroth has mommy problems, he's so unique and awesome. Cloud is so deep and mysterious, he questions himself, he's so unlike any hero i've seen ever. It was the first "deep" story in an rpg to be noticed, not the first deep story. Hell, Cecil of FF4 (Final Fantasy 2 in America) was more interesting, and at least that game was multiplayer. How can a game that's made millions upon millions of revenue and has it's own soda and food products possibly be an underrated game? I'm not saying it's a bad game by any means, but it's certainly not as spectacular as you're making it out to be. -------------------

Unfortunately I don't have the will power to counter your post Byz, but the thing for me is, THAT was my first FF/RPG game I ever played. So granted that too has played a role, personally, for me liking the game. I have yet to play another FF game that reaches what it achieved. Now, there was plenty of good solid FF games I played, but the only one I think that almost reaches it but fails on some things was FF10. Even FF8, aside from a graphical leap, didn't reach it. There was a few unlikeable characters the one being Rinoa. Also, I don't recall saying "
It was the first "deep" story in an rpg to be noticed, not the first deep story." I said it had a memorable story and a captivating one. Again, I don't even care about breath of fire or any of the ones you listed cause I didn't play them. FF's are mainly the only RPG's I played. Now, those rpgs you listed probably was great, but I never played it so I can't honestly give a fair assessment of them. Point is though FF7 is hardly overrated. It's the most talked FF game to ever release and millions demanding remakes. That tells me MILLIONS of people think the games is solid and would love to replay this title with PS3 graphics voice overs. This being added to the store also just screams "remake, future". I'll leave it to someone else if they want to debate the overrated-ness of said game, but this game isn't at all overrated. ------------------- Welcome to Crisis Core forum Welcome to Bad Company 2 God of War 3 official forum community

quote Final BladeThis isn't worth $60-$100, it's just a digitl copy. And as a person who always never thought JRPG's looked stupid, i am contemplating buying this game. I am only buying it from what i heard. So if Kik36 is wrong, i have wasted £10 for a game i may not like. -------------------

quote Final BladeSo what you're basically saying is "It doesn't matter if their were deeper plots in different games, or RPG's that were even better. Final Fantasy 7 is the best because it's the one i played when i was a kid." Well, thanks for admitting the bias. -------------------
