	I'm not really that sure to be honest, but I don't think that it will be any time soon. And even if it did go down, I wouldn't think it would by that much.

	If I were you I would just buy a used one on ebay. Thats what I did and it only cost me $260 + shipping & handling which was only $15. The ps3 was a 40gb and it came with 1 controller, 1 charging cable, an eye toy, and 2 games (Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet). -------------------

	_{Not everyone has the means to buy it through ebay, Chaos. Right now Sony are selling the PS3 at a lost of 40 dollars. So, if they were to lower the console right now they'd lose alot more money then gain. I know people think if they lower the price people will go mad buying it and get more sales, but it's only a temporary spike. If the sales continued for 6+ months selling like hotcakes, like the Wii for instance, maybe they could get out of selling it at a lost. There's rumors going on Sony might lower the price come holiday season. Which hopefully by then the production cost will lower on the parts of PS3 and they can afford to lower it then. 	They might, yeah. Especially now that Activision is threatening to leave Sony if they don't decrease the price. I don't know why everybody is getting all butt hurt cause they think the PS3's price is too high though. Nobody was complaining when the Xbox 360 was at this price. The PS3 is definitely hated by a lot of people if you think about it. -------------------

One is that people just straight up don't like the PS3. And the other is that maybe the PS3 is known for being expensive and the other next gen consoles are surprisingly lowered their price and people feel that the Ps3 should do the same. -------------------

They know this too, this was just an attempt to see if Sony would fall under the pressure and lower a price that'll hurt Sony more. The price argument is always the latter of your theories. 	It may not be good for a lot of people wanting to buy a PS3, but I'm glad Sony didn't fall for their fallacy. I think it shows Sony's commitment to its products. -------------------
