Was the PS Network down all day yesterday? I tried logging in multiple times, but I kept getting error messages. XBox Live worked fine and the PS Internet Browser was functional, so I'm not sure what was going on.

Oh it's an amazing game, a lot better than I had thought it would be. Really makes every player feel like they're needed in the battle, and it's always purposeful; you never feel like you're just running around randomly killing people (unless that's your intention).

I like the sound of the scale of MAG. I tend to pretty much play lone wolf anyway, so huge battles means plenty of players to kill for fun.

Well expect to be killed often. Most squads tend to stay together, so if you run into one guy, odds are he's got his squad not far behind to back him up. At which point, expect a face full of lead.

i dont like the sound of a game that increases the difficulty each time you die. that sounds silly to me. i would suck so bad that i would never get anywhere if it got harder all the time.

The game isn't even hard at all. It's challenging. In fact, if you play offline, it may be a little harder, but if you play online, it'll be a breeze, if you pay attention to the hints that the other players leave behind.

I think that's the problem with Demon's Souls; there this perpetuated attitude among those who haven't bought it that the game is just too hard to bother playing, when in reality it's kind of overblown how hard it is.

That was why I decided against getting it, actually. The reviews and coverage made it sound like a extremely hard game, and I can't stand those. Challenging? Sure. Frustrating? No.
