Wireless Headset |

Just wondering if many people use these on the playstation 3. I had one when I had an xbox and it was used alot but because I never got one with my playstation I didnt bother but I have seen them pretty cheap now and wondered if it was worth it with games such as Fifa and Call of Duty now coming out? Just curious thanks

Definitely worth it. You should also know that you can use just about any Bluetooth headset with the PS3. I got a cheap $20 headset to play Burnout Paradise with Chiro and a few others and it works like a charm. The only downside is that the battery life isn't too good. Since I forget when I charge it, sometimes it dies on me in the middle of gaming. I also can't use it and charge it at the same time, but despite that, it's a great headset.
If you don't mind those slight problems, then get that, if you do, then go look for ones on Amazon and read some of their user reviews to find out. Alternatively, if you can't be bothered, then just buy the official Sony Headset. -------------------

Speaking with wireless headsets hasn't really been a tradition for most PlayStation gamers (I notice twice as many people use them on Xbox 360), but as more online games such as Modern Warfare 2 are releasing, picking one up ain't a bad idea, especially at £20

I got the Offical Sony headset. It's wroth it but it's been collecting dust for me most of the time. Out of the games I have, (LBG, MGS4, Tekken 6, GTA4) the mics are only needed for MGS4 online. Which not many people have them, and if they do they're usually low quality and I can hardly understand what they're saying.
It's also annoying that the cheap mics stay on at a constant rate. So you'll hear a buzzing sound. As for the sony official mic, it's amazing. It has a noise reduction feature so that when you stop talking the mic won't broadcast, and an excellent mute button so it's easy to do so while gaming. It looks cool, you can flip the ear piece so you can switch ears. Everybody that had one that I came into communication with, had pure clear audio. With no annoying buzzing or anything. It's very efficient. Since it's with sony, it'll display the battery life when pressing the PS button or the headset power button. Although when you get it, it'll take 1.5 to 3 hours to charge fully and then after that it's good for up to 8 hours. ------------------- ![]() Nothing is true, Everything is permitted ![]()

I've actually been using my old PS2 eyetoy camera (Yeah, it works) which wasn't too bad, except that it would pick up anything in say, a 3-metre radius, so I had to tell others to shut up, which is why I recently bought the Headset. Hopefully it won't be so sensitive.

well if you are looking to buying them at a retail store, it will run you 49.99 dollars. plus tax of course. If that is too expensive for ya then look online, theres some pretty cheap ones at ebay. I totally recommend getting the official one, it is pricey but its good stuff.
