There are still a couple of things you can try. Get a wireless hub or router and connect it as close as you can to the PS3. Or get a stronger antenna. Google "wireless router signal antenna".

My router doesn't even have a antennae, so a wireless hub would probably be my best bet. And I just realized the other day the whole reason my signal is lacking is because of outside interference. Not only is the router set up in a bad spot, but my folks have TWO 2.4 GHz cordless phones.

Hey just a quick question, how fast should my internet be if I'm trying to play games online on my PS3 and how much gb of download per month approximately should I need if I'm a moderate user.

Per month usage is difficult to determine as there are no gauges (that I know of). 500KbPS of up speed should be sufficient but 768KbPS or higher is better.

You shouldn't need more than a few gigs at most if you play online. As online play is when you get down to it the transfer or positions and textures and w/e, not nearly as much data is transferred as you'd think.
Anything over 512k is good, but above that would be better, as Gogeta mentioned. ------------------- ![]()

i have a question. i live in the middle of no where so i cant get highspeed.
im thinking about getting hughes net (highspeed by satelite) but i wanted to know if anyone on here thought that would be a bad idea. the speed for the home plan is 1.0 Mbps/128 Kbps. would it be good to use for playing online for my ps3?

Hiya
I got my broadbrand changed today from bt to talk talk. We got a new modem which is downstairs where before the bt homehub was upstairs. So the ethernet cable i got with my ps3 is now not long enough to reach the modem that is downstairs so i was wondering if i could use a wireless adaptor to go online with my ps3 ?

The short answer is yes. I have a few questions that will allow us to help you find the best solution.
1. Is your PS3 capable of wireless connection? 2. Your Ethernet connection upstairs, does it connect to the downstairs setup? 2a. If so, can you connect your PS3 that way? Thanks. ------------------- ![]()

Hey. Your able to run a wired connection through a wireless router/access point/whatever... right? As in. I want to have a wireless connection to my PS3, but I want to be able to run the cable to my computer as well (as I do right now).
