Spawning Stationary Allied NPCs

Sometimes I like to create little scenarios with spawning npcs, but my damn allied NPCs keep moving with me, how do I spawn them so they stay still. I know the command to spawn a rebel trooper is
npc spawn rebel
but how can i make it so he doesn't follow me?

You would have to create a new NPC file that has the rebel as 'nuetral' instead of "ally" or "enemy". Inside assets0.pk3 (open using winrar or winzip) should be a folder called NPCS somewhere. Use these as examples.

An alternate and more effective way is to type "playerteam neutral" or something along those lines into the console, making yourself neutral. As an advantage, enemies don't attack you either.
