Rumors + Analyzations
|
Hi,
I hope that this forum will become more active once it actually comes out.
As you might have gathered from the title, this thread is about all that you think is true or have heard about Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
Here are my thoughts:
I think that this movie is definitely going to have a lot of humor in it, like the last one. It should be more dark and horror though, as seen in the trailer, with Davy Jones and his vast army.
Here is a picture of Davy Jones:

Apparently Jack owes Davy his soul, probably because he took a piece of the gold.
There's also a big monster that Davy Jones summons in the trailer, whose name is something like "Dark Rachan". When Davy says it, he yells it, so it isn't real clear. Anyway, the monster seems to destroy Jack's ship:

There is also supposedly love scenes between Elizabeth and Will, and Elizabeth and Jack!
Well, that about wraps it up for now, I'll keep looking for more. Feel free to post anything about PoC: Dead Man's Chest.

Yeah I know, I saw the movie at 11:59 July 6th lol... I liked it better than the first one... It had a lot more humor in it.
I thought that all the allusions to the first one were funny, but kind of tiresome after a while.

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***
I don't know if anybody have noticed this, but at the VERY end of Dead Man's Chest, before the credits. It shows that one guy from the first movie, forgot his name. Basically he was the main "bad guy" in the first one, I'm assuming. The first thing I wondered when I saw him was ... why is he still alive? Didn't he die in the first one? I haven't watched the first one in a while, because I only seen it on TV, so I bought the first one on my way home from seeing the second one in theatres. After I watched it, I found some interesting connections ... the end of The Black Pearl, AFTER the credits, it will show a mini scene of the monkey character holding one of the coin looking things, and than the little monkey screams and jumps at the screen! Now what makes this little scene interesting to me is that the monkey is still in it's "dead" form! And to think that he's holding one of the gold coin thingies! Plus! I remember in the second movie, Jack liked to shoot up the monkey with his pistol and of course, you will notice that the monkey would never die! I start to think that the monkey had something to do with that guy surviving ... or possibly coming back to life.
There's one more thing I wondered, near the beginning of the first movie, you remember the part where Elezibeth falls off the cliff and into the ocean? Before Jack jumps in to save her, that gold thing around her neck does some sort of wave blast of some sort. Throughout watching the movie, I wondered WHY did it do it and WHAT did it do exactly? And I thought ... maybe it had something to do with those sea creature looking dudes in the second movie or something!
Lol, the third movie is bound to be veeery interesting!

1. the dudes name is captain barbossa, one of my favo characters. 2. he was brought back to life by the creapy woman, who gave jack the bottle of sand 3. the monkey does hold the coin. and he can't die. jack uses him to relive his stress. so he can shoot him without dieing. 4. the coin called the black pearl for it was cursed. so barbossa and his crew know the coin would be there.

Jack: How's a Jar of Dirt going to help? Tia Dalma (Creepy Voodoo Lady): If you don't want it, give it back! Jack: No! Tia Dalma: Then it helps.

I just got the movie and while i was watching it i tweaked on a few things that i never noticed first time:
1. When jack meets bootstrap bill in the rum cellar, he warns jack of davy jones coming and then says the line "he'll release leviathan and drag the pearl to the depths and you along with it". Leviathan? The sea monster is called the kraken. Could this be a mistake, jones' pet name for the kraken, another monster jones has or a hint of the 3rd movie?
2. During the scene when they meet tia dalma (voodoo lady), she has a silver crab locket on her desk that you see a few times. Then in the squidy beard playing the organ scene, jones has the same locket on his organ. We know that jones loved a woman but we never knew who she was. Could it possibly be tia dalma? She does have strange powers and she knows a little too much
3. When the kraken attacks the ship with will for the first time, he cracks the ship in half and eats all of the crew. You see the mouth and everyone falling into it but then you see all the crew on the flying dutchman!!! A mistake or could the kraken send anyone he eats strait to the ship?
