Cloaks |
|
I doubt they're 'high fashion' (not since the 1800's or something anyway XD), but I like the way they look.
I, personally, want to get one. I'm not a fan of coats, but the idea of wearing a cloak sounds good to me. Just wondering if there is a place (online I guess) where I can buy a good quality day to day cloak? Nothing too heavy, and I'd want a hood, and if possible, some sort of internal pocket (it'd just be convenient eh?). Something that doesn't trail on the ground (it'd just get dirty), but could be close. There was something sorta what I wanted on Ebay, but ehhh, it was more for RPing and stuff, though it had the option of being shortened to your specs. I know there isn't a big market for cloaks, and I'd probably have to spend a bit to get it (I WOULD prefer to keep it under $100, including shipping, but I doubt that'll happen....). BTW: I'm a bit over 6' tall (about 6' 2" or so), and uhhhh, male if you couldn't guess XD I'm a Canadian resident too, so keep that in mind, I'd need something that at least ships international, if not based in Canada, and without outrageous shipping charges. -------------------

I like the idea of them too, makes me think of Assassin'a Creed and other stuff. I'd have one too, but I can't find them.
Seeing as some people wear them for their religion, why don't you try those Wiccan/Pagan shops? ------------------- Clothes & Fashion Forum

Well, maybe there is one online somewhere...
I'll probably end up having to buy from that EB member though. The shipping, though reasonable (Like, $22USD) considering the size and weight of the cloaks, is still a bit of an 'urrgghh' for me >_> -------------------

No idea where you'd buy one, but maybe look at like cosplay sellers and see if you can get a custom one?

LOOKING LIKE AN ASSASSIN FROM A VIDEO GAME IS NOT GOING TO MAKE PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE COOL. IT IS GOING TO MAKE THEM LAUGH AT YOU IN YOUR FACE AS WELL AS BEHIND YOUR BACK.

STFU tumbles, no one wants to hear your crap.
@Vex - Cosplay sellers? Well, that'd have to be online too. I doubt they'd be cheaper than that guy on Ebay, though not a bad thing to think about (though I don't know any cosplay sellers). I wouldn't want something for show, something actually usable and durable. -------------------

Oh no alot of cosplay sellers actually make really durable clothes. I have friends who get things commissioned by them (like jackets or something) because they can't find what they want in stores~
You just have to look for a good one i guess And haha i actually saw an old man walking down the road in a cloak today, it was really dramatic because the wind was blowing like crazy~ Also, you could try places like stores that sell priests clothes. My uncles a priest and he has this really thick durable priests cloak with pockets~ Think they're pretty pricey though -------------------

Tumbles take it easy or else you'll get another vacation from the forum. If you don't like a look, respectfully discuss it.

re: Cloaks |

That's actually the type of cloak I"m avoiding. I'm after the more traditional look, not cosplaying as anything. The same guy that does that does other, more general purpose cloaks. I'm a bit interested in the Moleskin stuff which according to the description is both soft and durable.
