I do not know or do not believe this will be advertising, but it would help the community GREATLY on ANY game that they would like to test and see if it would run properly, including Crysis. Click HERE to use a piece of web-based testing that will test all the components and give you a rating on a scale of how good Crysis, among other games will run.

re: Can my computer run this?!

i was wonderin this same thing too. i just put in a geforce 8800-oc and a 700w power supply. ive got 3gb ddr2 running with vista 32-bit and an ati dual core @2.84gz.

i can play F.E.A.R on maximum settings with absolutely no drop in frame rate. in fact, i`d say this setup rivals my xbox 360.

so im sure crysis should run fine. but i read it runs great with lessor equi than mine, and i hear that i should ahve two 8800`s through nvidias SLI tech.

so you all that have the game, help me out. can i run it at at least high settings?

ive got almost the same setup as you. but 3gb of RAM

i can tell you that i can run effectivly on high settings. i can run Very High setting on textures but gets slow in the action.even the high setting gets slow when your blowin stuff up.

re: Can my computer run this?!

Just out of curiosity, I thought I'd pitch this out there to see if there's anything I'm missing. I'm more of a console gamer, to be completely honest, but I do enjoy the occasional PC game. I recently upgraded to a pretty nice gaming notebook and, of course, picked up Crysis. I've played it on and off over the past couple weeks, but I can't seem to pull off max settings, and I can only go on high in certain, smaller parts of the game. There are even times when medium doesn't quite cut it, and I can forget turning on any AA. Is there something obvious that I'm just not doing? Haha. My specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme 2.8ghz.
Dual Geforce 8800 GTX SLI cards.
4GB DDR2 RAM.
x2 64GB Solid State Drives.
Vista Home Premium SP1.

Crysis is just a very power intensive game. It isn't optimized well, and although the 8800's aren't low end, they're midrange. You should be able to get medium on that machine very easily though, I think. But either way, Crysis is more of a tech demo and it's very poorly optimized.

Thanks for the feedback. That's kind of what I was thinking, but considering my average PC knowledge, I just wanted to ensure I wasn't overlooking anything. I can still run the game beautifully, but it just bothers me that I can't run in on max settings. Haha. Ah well, I hear Warhead's optimized a bit better, so maybe I can do a bit better with that one.
