SFII Released On Marketplace Now!!

Well the game is finally out and it's pretty good. It costs 800 points and is available now. I have played a bit and it's smooth and user friendly. The online quarter match is a great idea allowing 4 of you to play in a winner stays on style match up.

Overall 4/5

What do you guys rate it?

re: SFII Released On Marketplace Now!!

I have only played 2 matches so I'm not sure yet. In those two, there was no lag at all. But the guy I played against was also from the UK, so maybe that's why there was no lag. But so far, it's smooth sailing.

re: SFII Released On Marketplace Now!!

I am surprised at how tricky the single player component is heh... I must of been a better gamer as a kid cause i don't remember Street Fighter II HF being so damn difficult at only fight 3 lol.

I am Ryu as i always used to be and Chun Li is kicking my ass everytime heh...

One thing i love about this game is the option to change the screen size, since thats one thing i hate about some of the arcade games is the stupid windowed mode, now i have it full screen and it looks amazing... Street Fighter was made for 50" HD lol.

Dunno if it is worth the 800 points yet though, since you can buy the Sega Megadrive version for like 10p nowadays lol... Ah well its a great game, brings back awesome memories.

Same, I can't get past Ryu, and it's getting really frustrating. I also had the game as a kid and I remember beating the game on arcade mode multiple times. I've really lost my touch.

Yeah Ryu cheats haha... He uses the multiplayer tactic of using his special(Hayuken) over and over again until you are dazed, then smacks you with a dragon upper cut and repeats until you are dead lol.

Dhalsim was also a bitch to beat, stupid rubber armed man lol

So the game converts to widescreen...awesome! I hate the way games like galaga dont even take up a full tv screen, they're so thin...

Well they have 2 options... "Screen Size" which is like and expanding like option and you expand it until it fills your screen...

Then another one "Screen Position" which you just used to even things out slightly, it really isn't that tricky to get it full screen and as i said it expands alot, so much that it fills a 50" screen.

I give this game a 3/5 because the controls with the analog are messed. Its harder to play than the original.

And everyone on line just seem to pick E Honda and use his bitch slapping move, very annoying, how do you defend against that?

re: SFII Released On Marketplace Now!!

the easy way to beat E. Honda is to pick Chun Li because her kick gets priority over his slap. so as soon as they start slapping u start kicking. it forces them to use another tactic.

Agreed. Even using the D-pad is more difficult than using an old SNES controller.

Or you could just be an player that throws projectiles. Breaks through ever time.

re: SFII Released On Marketplace Now!!

I actually thought the single player was very difficult as well Nikki, but I just assumed it was me being a bit rusty. I will have to look up some moves and get practising. I am most successful with Chun-Li so far.

Anyway, I am enjoying it. It's more fun than most of the other arcade games IMO and the online is smooth (so far).

re: SFII Released On Marketplace Now!!

Oh there is a difficulty setting in the game options... It is set on 3 stars as default, if you are finding it a slight bit difficult you could always lower it a tad... I haven't tried it lower yet i'm still seeing if i can beat fight 3 at the same difficulty.

What is crazy is that it goes up to 10 stars, if 3 star difficulty is hard 10 star must be like insane lol.

Ok I must be crap, I did know that and it's difficult on 0 stars

I have a guy in my clan that has completed it on 7 stars for the achievement
