Every time I launch Quark 6.1 I am presented with this message:

This value must be between 1 and 999. The closest allowable value will be used [303].

This is starting to get a tad annoying now, any ideas on how to eliminate this alert?

Check out your prefs and maybe change the value.

If I knew which value it was refering to I would, but I cannot find anything in the prefs that needs changing. I have also dumped the Quark prefs and started up Quark fresh but it still brings up this message.

Try to reinstall your Quark.
Couldn't find any error messages (303)???

It's a print setting issue.

Assuming you're on a Mac, do the following:

1) In any Quark document, click Print.
2) In the Print Dialogue box that appears, click on the button in the bottom left hand corner that says Printer...
3) In the Printer Dialogue box that apperas, note the page numbers that are selected for printing. I bet you have Pages 1 to 9999 selected. Either changes this to 1 to 1 or All.
4) Click Print
5) Click Cancel

Now reopen a Quark document as see if you still get this error message. I hope this helps.

I have this same error message problem but changing the print numbers seems to do nothing to stop it! Aaaaaargh. Anyone got any other ideas?
