Quite so, this game was very deep.

i dont quite agree with GotY. i think there were games that were slightly better than bioshock released this year. personally i prefer crysis among others. the orange box is awesome and should have won for TF2 alone. otherwise in my opinion stalker should have won it. i know alot of people were disappointed with it but as someone who didnt follow it through development and didnt know from the start what it promised, i thought it was easily the best game of the year.

bioshock is a great game but i think it only serves for one playthrough - a brilliant game should be one you want to replay time and time again, or at least one with an extra that you want to keep playing. but as bioshock doesnt have multi you cant even say theres that to keep you going back to it.

great game? yes. worthy of GotY? no.

I say it is worthy of those awards! A minor such as myself can play this game without fault! w00t to BIOSHOCK,and prey its sequel is as good as the original!

Well Bioshock's awards are well deserved. really good overall and you can tell that they put alot of extra heart into this game.

Now they need to shoot for 'Most likely to make you late to work' award.

Yea i think it does deserve it. There are some great games that are just as good in many ways but bioshock has all the great elements of what (in my opinion) constitutes a great game. Gameplay, story, graphics and sound is spot on and the sublime and quirky voice acting is great icing on the cake! I just love the cut scene where you first view Rapture as you decend into the depths... That scene is so brilliantly done - its games like this that make the term 'game'seem inadequate. Maybe we could call it "An interactive multimedia adventure"!
