Video Card help |
|
I need help deciding which video card to buy. I have an AMD 3.0 64bit processor and 512mb registered ram. I want to be able to play the new games coming out including bioshock. my motherboard only takes agp video cards and I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on it(under $150 would be preferable). Can someone please help me.
Thanks guys | |

Firstly you will need more RAM, 1GB will suffice but it is best to get 2GB just incase (especially if you want to play newer games)
An ATI X1600 or any ATI X1000 series will suffice, they are around your budget and do the job perfectly. Although the Geforce 8600GTS (not sure if there is an AGP version though) surpasses the X1600 series. If anything grab a PCI-e motherboard (they are around the same price as an AGP one) and look into the PCI-e range. My PCI-e ATI X1600XT 512mb card was around £75 ($150) ------------------- ![]() ![]() | |
