My Disc broke, I need an alternative |
|
I bought Bioshock from Gamestop a long time ago and, well, it has gotten pretty scratched up since then. Needless to say I didn't take perfect care of it and the thing is covered in scratches and now my computer can't recognize the disc any more and Bioshock will not start up without it. I have tried many disc cleaning solutions including one that Gamestop sold me, but nothing is working. Gamestop doesn't have a disc cleaning/buffing service either so thats out of the question.
Anyway, I am looking online to see if theres anyway I can download this game? Just the installer, I have the CD key as proof that I bought it so I just need some way to play this game without having to use the CD. I don't mean pirated by the way, I have the CD key, I just need the setup or something so maybe I can play this game without having to use my scratched up CD. Any help would be much appreciated. ------------------- ![]() FTW?

Bioshock is available on Valve's "Steam" service now. Try that, download the Steam client, install, and once its up and running click on the "My Games" tab of the client window, followed by the "Activate a product on Steam" button.
This should work? It's how I registered my copy of Prey so I could use it without the disk (my DVD drive isn't working properly)... Oh, but you may have to un-register your copy first from wherever it's registered now. -------------------
