What do you guys think of the new trailer? bioshock 2

It is pretty good, though im annoyed that it was like a on the PS3 version of the game, ruddy sony stole the game and now this... still its not all bad news I suppose.

What he said. Bioshock was just amazing, one of my favorite games ever. Can't wait for this.

After Braid, Bioshock is the the best game I have ever played. But I'm not going to buy the sequel. It was a stand alone game, a speck of brilliance in a sea of samey, uninspired games. Now this:
Bioshock 2. It's a cop out by lazy game developers. They should be ashamed of themselves, and so should anyone who buys it too, because you are allowing big name companies to prosper by remaking the same game, while good ideas go to waste because no one wants to risk making something that isn't based on a series with too many fan boys.

They didn't steal it, Microsoft stole it to begin with by pulling out the exclusivity contract for 360 and PC only as Bioshock was originally planned for a multi-platform release.

That's why there are traces of PS3 coding found in the PC version files as it was cut short. As for saying that they probably had a PS3 version stored away because of this and just waited to see how popular the game was before Microsoft and Sony came to agreements to allow the game on PS3

As to Bioshock 2, not watched the trailer yet as most of the youtube ones are merely poor attempts to rick roll but I will get to watching this one soon.

@Albino: what? There aren't many ideas to go around these days, look at the history of games...by 2000 game series became popular due to Final Fantasy being in the 8th of its series by then.

Every game you look at holds a feature or element taken from another game and just used to an unique advantage for that game (such as Bioshock combine FPS and RPG elements...to a degree)

Sure technology helps greatly in surpassing the boundaries of what can be done in games, Havok and Radiant AI for two examples but other than that, all games are simply recycled ideas and the aim for a games company is to make money.

Now if they make money off a crap game, such as Two Worlds...then yes complain till your hearts content

Have you even bothered to play Bioshock to understand the ending(s) of it?

Obviously they have decided to continue on from the good ending.

That doesn't make the trailer any better. I've done both endings, and I really couldn't care less about that trailer. I'm not going to get exited about this game until I see some gameplay. I think Kiyoko was just questioning why some people are acting like this was the greatest thing they've ever seen when there's pretty much nothing to it, other than OH MY GOD THE LITTLE SISTERS GREW UP.

i'm actully looking forward to bioshock 2...given i'm wondering what it will be like with the new devs working on it but i still cant wait to play it and i only say the good ending and came close to seeing the bad ending but couldnt get it done on time (it was a rental)

Confusion ahead: Developer talks about Bioshock 2

Bioshock 2 Product Page

Basically in the link given about the developer talking. He states that Bioshock 2 is a prequel and a sequel at the same time. This means we will probably witness what happened on and to Rapture or how it was built, then of course find out what happens after Bioshock 1.

He also states that in the trailer, you can see Rapture rising up, which could mean Rapture is bought to the surface or maybe was on the surface and was sunk long ago. Basically everything is vague yet so no one knows for sure
