I'm at the bit where you need to get into langford's safe in her office in arcadia. only problem is, I used the code on the safe, opened it, and there's nothing in there.

My goal screen says to check the safe, nothing else.

Is this a bug? Anyone else having the same problem? And how do I get past it?

There's nothing in it? There should be a diary, some money, and an item - if I remember correctly.

Are you sure you didn't already search it quickly and missed it? I know it's a long shot but the stuff should be there.

Nope, nothing at all, there were 3 empty slots the first time, and now I can't even look inside

Do you have an old save you can re-load that's not too far back? I know what causes this glitch. If you have the scavenger tonic equipped, it will show nothing in the safe.

Maybe try using the tonic that lets you loot the safe a second time? It probably wont work if you got a glitch, but its worth a shot.

There are no real checkpoints in the game. Whenever you do this, you're just sent back to the nearest Vita Chamber and continue from where you died.

That tonic doesn't work on stuff you've already searched. If you've searched an item and found nothing on it, then equipped the tonic, it wouldn't let you search a second time.

Looks like he's going to have to start over.

Yes it does, assuming you didnt take anything from it. I have gone through sections of the game without it, then come back later with it, and checked the bodies again. I had the option to loot the bodies that I had not taken anything from. It will not work, however if you have taken even one dollar from the body.

Caanon is right, I've done the same thing with the Looting Tonic. I don't think it works on safes though.

man, i havent saved in a long time... isnt there any other solution to this bug than starting over?

Wow...I had no idea this bug existed. I've only used scavengar once though. I just don't find it to be all that usefull. This is just as bad as the old Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy fatal glitch.
