Here's my problem. I'm at the part where you blow the horn and release the phoenix so it can fly and go sit a bit away with a circle above its head. Now you have to jump across the 2 pillars and glide to a door which has a broken ladder near it. So when I open the door, nothing appears there. Here's a video:

Most likely your copy is failing. Try cleaning the disc/the laser lens & tell me how did it go.
