	What are all of the legendary pistols, and how do I get them? I have the Westcliff Shooting Range one, but I want the one that my cousin has that shoots as fast as you can hit the button. I fell in love with it haha. -------------------

	there's the Red Dragon pistol, a turret rifle called the perforator, and a crossbow which i havent got yet but it's what's in the gargoyle's hidden treasure. ------------------- PM me if you'd like to play abit of borderlands online

	I was told that the gargoyles treasure was a different pistol... Oh well. I was gonna be surprised with the treasure, but seeing how I only need one gargoyle I would have found out soon enough anyway haha. -------------------

	you guys do know that only one of those is actually a pistol, right? anyways, as far as i know, the one you get the shooting range, the red dragon, IS the one that will fire as fast as you can hit the button. it's the fastest firing weapon in the game, and has the highest damage per-second. of course, i don't believe in DPS in this game. my four-slot master flintlock pistol may fire a lot slower, but it's an instantaneous kill on just about anything, from hobbes to mini-shards.

Fail (apologies for originally saying epic, you listed them all correctly in how to get them etc, which was good, so yeah, sorry. The Red Dragon IS a pistol, a damn good one at that. Because speed is power! right, but like i was saying, it just doesn't get faster than a single shot. speed isn't necessarily power, but power is always speed. you can fire away at a balverine for a half dozen shots -- all very quickly -- with the red dragon. or, you can kill it faster in a single shot. i go the single shot route. also, i find the bang-bang-bang-bang-bang--oh crap reload--bang-bang- tempo of the repeater weapons very annoying. something ALWAYS gets me while i'm reloading. with the flintlocks, you reload faster, and the rhythm is much for even and predictable.

I'm with arachnophilia here, I use a very powerful augmented flintlock pistol and I can nail a whole bunch of hobbes if they run my way. When the need arises it can still fire quite fast, and usually hobbes run at you from a distance and there are usually five of them. You can take them all out, and if they jump out of a bush next to you you aren't going to use your ranged weapon, but it's all about opinion isn't it. -------------------

But with a weapon like that there legendary pistol, you can turn and fire and take out all of the enemies in a few seconds. it only gets kind of hairy when there's ALOT of mid-level enemies, for instance when you have to defend garth, at his tower, while he opens the cullis gate. it still one-hits commandants, but it's hard to target them specifically. thing is, even here, the speed and spamming ability of the red dragon still doesn't help. the flintlock (with a bunch of cool augments) takes them out way, way faster. you just have to be a little less rambo about it. you have to use the duck+roll trick a bunch. (the rifle works too, but it's a little slower still) rather ironically, the only thing the red dragon is especially good for is the shooting range. btw, i do have a character who only uses firearms, no melee combat or magic. i have all magic abilities unlearned and melee weapons unequiped (by a glitch). it's a little challenging, but not especially difficult to pull of, especially with an overpowered four-slot flintlock pistol. i tried the red dragon out with her, but got much better results with the custom pistol. the only annoying thing, really, is having to learn magic and equip melee weapons to get through stupid switches.
