40 Yard Dash |

Am I the only one who can't get sub 4.5's in this? If not, how do you guys do it? If I move the sticks too fast, he stumbles.

I think 4.5 is the fastest I got, but I can't remember. I know I got 4.6. I'm not too good at it though, or I would say I'm just inconsistent. I'm bad at the bench press as well. Other than that the only mini game I can't do good at is whenever you have to tackle the RB, I don't know why but I struggle with that.

I'm great at everything else-- I've done the bench press 35 times with Orlando Pace.. but this 40 yard dash shit is hard.

Yeah, I've had trouble trying to get the hang of the 40 yard dash and the bench press.

First time ever i did the 40 yard time, i got 4.66. Fastest I have got is 4.55. Im good at the bench press. I did 34 with Nick Barnett. I hate when the camera view changes for the bench press tho. Messes me up on that one rep.

Yea my fastest time to date is 4.55 but to be reasonable about the 40 they're aren't alot of guys in the NFL running 4.4 and lower when timed electronically. A handheld timing will be nearly .24 seconds lower than the FAT (Fully Automatic Timer).
So you can think of a 4.55 as a...4.3...which isn't to shabby. I think Primetime has the fastest recorded FAT 40 time (4.19..that's damn fast) Must be some Gamer points for sub 4.3s. -------------------

The hard thing about the 40 is the fact that you push back on the analog sticks rather than forward (which is natural for me), so I tend to "over" run. Rather than going down and stopping at the middle, I'll push a bit forward as I'm doing down with the other stick.
If you get in a good rhythm, you get a boost DURING the race that can put you well under 4.5. Try it with DeAngelo Hall (Mr. Fastest Man in the NFL). -------------------

Anyone still having trouble with this? I've tried using Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, Dante Hall, DeAngelo Hall, practically every person you can use. I've only gotten below 4.5 with Dante Hall, and that was by .03 seconds at most. I've tried leaning, putting my hand back, and staying "In the Zone" as long as I can and still can't get below 4.4. I'm probably not leaning at the right time though. Any tips on what to do?

Here's the tip: Getting below 4.4 is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. How many recorded sub 4.3 have you seen in your lifetime? Not enough to warrant one in a PERFECT run.
