It's not that we like to-- it's just that we have the right. Sorta like how you defend EA, haha.
I'd much rather spend $60 on a more complete game and not bitch than spend the same amount of money on a game that has plenty room for bitching.

i agree that 05 is the best. it's great like 04 was, but added Def playmaker controls.
And every video game for 360 had the same developmental virginity. I think that's a cop-out. And i ko they just cant carry over the same exatc functions, but they did design them and they should know how to tweak them to work on 360. I'mad cuz they took 120 bucks in 9 months from me for 2 mericorce games. And i wish i didnt have to B*tch, but as a madden purist and fanboy i want to let ppl know how this game is.... and in my own opinion, this game's off the field options are inadequate ------------------- "The Past is dead. quote CdemonNo. No. You see I don't like to defend EA. I like to defend next-generation gaming. Flaws like no fatigue online and adding Hall of Famers to the free agents roster is *bleep*ed, but so is bashing Madden 06 for not coming out six months later than it did. The Madden for the Playstation 2 is pretty stout. It's just too slow to make me want to play it, but I'd much rather have it's interface and features. -------------------

So it's just a coincidence that anytime someone says something negative towards EA or the Madden franchise on this board, you're there defending them?

I love how some of you are making excuses for EA. "they had to start from scratch" blah blah blah "didn't have a lot of time" blah blah blah. Complete Bull. I bet you EA has atleast the next 5 years of madden additions already planned out. They did this on purpose. They though They could get away with doing the regular amount in advancements in the game from the 360 06 game. Which they publicly admitted they rushed out. Why would you go from the 06 than? because EA doesn't give a *bleep* and they want to make the maximum money by doing as little as possible. Now that ESPN sport games are gone, and EA having no competition, Im sure we are going to continue to be disapointed year after year.

quote CdemonI completely agree, the only reason I got mad was because I just wish people would be a little more appreciative of starting from nothing and since programming isn't easy. I mean I agree this isn't that great of a Madden game and I would much rather have spent the $60 on a more complete game, but I am just glad that EA got the core features in the game that enables it to still be fun. ------------------- ![]() Wii: 2909-9932-6412-3857 The Conduit: 2707-9414-1620 Brawl: 3866-7691-9411

johnny.. what makes a free market economy work is that we have the RIGHT to complain when something isn't good enuff. How else would things get better.
I'm drafting a letter to EA, and im not going to blow smoke up their crack. No one will probably read it, but i feel better. I supported the progammers enuff just buying the thing. They are not beyond reproach just cuz their job is hard. And besides, like the previous poster said, we dont have a choice to just not buy madden anymore becuase its the only game out there. This is the only recourse we have. Maybe they'll hear us and actually put out a worthy game ------------------- "The Past is dead. The Present is fleeting. The Future is forever!"

quote CdemonLike I already said. When you complain about Madden '06 as a game, then yes. I'm going to defend EA. NCAA's first port, yes I'm going to defend them. Asinine assumptions. Yes, I'm going to defend them. No one else has the balls, too. quote K0nKuzh0nOh, please. They had the running to daylight feature created five years ago because they thought Shaun Alexander would win the MVP in '05? That's just ignorant. I love how people randomly make assumptions and try to pass them off of pure fact. You act like there is a HUGE list of games that have been going on consistently like this and haven't dropped in some aspect. If you don't like the game, don't play it. You don't have to come to a forum and bitch about it. Just don't play it. -------------------

Product... I think you're the one who's ignorant
You think they pick the cover boy before they create the new gameplay mechanic?? Oh yeah, cuz there's never been a good enuff RB to be on the cover for the new Lead blocking? Priest Holmes and LaDanian Tomlinson won MVPs before Alexander and they didnt rush out a new runnign system for them. You cna pick a player for the cover any year so that really doesnt matter to the way they make the game. McNabb didnt win an award when he was ont he cover. Of course they pick the new mechanics way ahead of time and spread them out so there's something new every year. And if you dont like it that anything people have to post in a Franchise mode thread is negative, go to the "EA Sheep-le" thread, BROTHA ------------------- "The Past is dead. If they have 5 or so years worth of ideas (they likely have even more) its very likely that one of those ideas matches the player that they put on the cover.

I haven't yet finished an entire season but so far I like the game ALOT better than 06. Takes a little getting used to as far as the mini games and lead blocker controls go, but once you get used to them they are really good and bring a lot to the gameplay. Which is what really matters to me. As long as the offseason has a draft and free agent signings I'm good. I don't need all the stadium designing stuff and all that.
I do wish that I had a little more control over the defense ( anybody play NFL 2k5?) but I can live with what control is there, its still pretty deep. I paid the $70 bucks for the Hall of Fame edition and overall I'm pretty happy. Game is good, and the bonus features are pretty cool as well, like unlockable hall of fame player highlight videos from NFL Films. Thats freakin' cool. And I haven't even looked at the bonus disc yet. Anyway its a definite improvement over 06 so I don't see how you can complain. A lot of the features that were left out are back, and a couple new ones to the series, with bonus material... somehow I don't see where you guys are coming from with all the bitching, last year is when it was needed. ------------------- "American soldiers in battle don't fight for what some president says on T.V., they don't fight for mom, apple pie, the American flag... they fight for one another." -Lt.
