re: Franchise Mode

NICE COWBOYS ICON... they rule in this game

I just wish i could have a little more control over my team. I took over the Raiders becuase i wanted a challenge. FIrst thing i tried to do was move Derrick Burgess to a tweener like DeMarcus Ware. Couldn't directly change his pos. or do it in the depth charts. And the lack of custom playbooks and packages really limits my customization.

I kno 06 for Thra 60 didnt have those but i hoped a second effort would be closer to the better older versions.

Oh, and you might want to go buy a book or sommin cuz this draft mode is the same bad one form 06..... slow. You cnat sim CPU picks, u just gotta schlog thru every one.

I see that if you just play the games you will like this,a nd the on-field stuff is great. But those looking for a deeper experience, like me and all my friends, are kinda disappointed

( MAdden 05 is way better than NFL 2K5)

Anyway its a definite improvement over 06 so I don't see how you can complain. A lot of the features that were left out are back, and a couple new ones to the series, with bonus material... somehow I don't see where you guys are coming from with all the bitching, last year is when it was needed.
To be honest, these guys would bitch if somehow EA built the "perfect" football game. Some people are just built that way.

Bullshit, I have been one of the biggest EA Supporters as long as I have played Football video games. But the last two games for the 360 have been total garbage. Taking out owner mode is extremely shitty, I love being able to switch teams around and have full control over my team. Create a player stats being determined by some very stupid mini games. Oh wow that's a great one. Superstar mode having the most awkward camera angles possible, yeah what a *bleep*in winner there.

You have to face it EA is putting out some shitty games now that they no longer have competition.

Here's a news flash: there are OTHER games in the world. Apparently NFL 2k5 is the popular pick.
Check the forum buddy. 360. Cant play NFL 2k5 on 360. And its 2006. Why in the world would I play a 2005 game that was made in 2004?

why would we bitch if EA came out with the perfect football game?
I liked madden 06...It seems that madden 07 for ps2 and xbox are good. the 360 version blows.

re: Franchise Mode

It's like the half-*bleep* versions of Cdemon are coming to take his place during his time vacation from the Neoforums.

The game is built on a new system! Just like NCAA. It's not the same game. You can't expect it to be the same, but you can wish. Two years into a new system and I'm seeing blood spilt like it's the end of the *bleep*ing world.

How long did it take Madden for the Playstation 2 and Xbox to be awesome? Had you not had these versions this year, you'd still bitch because features have been taken away. That's ALWAYS GOING TO HAPPEN. This isn't YOUR game. EA Tiburon adds and retracts what they feel makes the game fun. If you don't like. Don't play the game. Simple enough.

And there is already a thread about bitching. You're welcome to it.

I agree that it's too early to be stating that EA are now gonna' slack off because of no competition. We'll have to wait until next year's installment is released to come to that conclusion because while Madden '07 is indeed more polished and complete than last year's demo, it has plenty of room for improvement.

Your entire judgement is built off of the Xbox 360 game.

I don't normally visit game home pages, but here is something I noticed today.

One game out of eight (currently released) is a horrendously small number when you're talking about a game built on a new engine.

Im sorry I had to pay for my own system so I didn't see it logical in buying 2 systems and the game for each of them, let alone 10. I tried to bring it back for the regular xbox version but its not backwards compatible. once again check the forum location. Why wouldn't i be talking about 360?

Too early to judge whether the lack of competition would slow the advancement in the game? Ya right, how could it not slow it down. It has been one of the hottest topics ever since EA bought the rights to NFL players names.

That's irrelevant. After only two attempts, it's too early to judge whether or not the lack of competition will slow down the improvement of their next-gen titles.

I don't have to check the forum. I was here long before you. And apparently I'm far more informed than you are.

Guess what. You're not the only one who bought their own system. I bought Madden '06 for both Xbox and 360, sold the Xbox copy when I sold the Xbox, so you're bitching about nothing is just noise to my ears.

Nothing you can say can sway the arguments presented before. Game is built on a new idea. It is going to take a few copies before it is back to par, just like it's forefathers.

i really do not see why they cant make a fantasy draft mode. the 360's operating system cant be that much different than the normal xbox. if it had fantasy draft, i would be just fine with the game

EXACTLY... these people make it seem Ea never made a agme b4 and never got 360 alpha kits. This is a second effort and i expected more, and as a paying customer i have the right to feel that way. Nottin the EA sheep can say will change it.

His rants have gotten us off the topic of how to better use thr franchise so i will help us get abck ontrack....

How do you switch user controlled teams in the franchise???

re: Franchise Mode

The Reason the game is so crappy on next gen is because ea is leaving some room to make the game better. there running out of stuff to put on the xbox versions but they figure everyone would have next gen before that tragic time would ever happen. then they just start all over like starting madden 2001 on xbox 1. now is that a smart guess or wat give me some props.

Hello again, moron. My name is Strike and if you continue to read, I will once again put you in your "noob" place.

Next Gen consoles are not the same as the previous generation. One key feature (and the reason you won't find ported Madden's) is the GPU are now produced by ATI. That is the MAIN reason why so many games for the Xbox have not been made backwards compatible and that reason ALONE is why you have REMAKE THE ENTIRE GAME when you develop for next gen. There are titles out for current gen (as well as hand held games) that are easily ported, so it makes more sense for them to develop for the LARGE MARKET.

Second, the core processor in the 360 is a totally new ballpark to any developer. If they were to put the entire EA Tiburon team on the 360 version, this yes, you would have a top-notch game... but as previously stated IT WOULD BE STUPID to do that. Once development on next-generation consoles becomes easier you will find that the games have more and more options (a la Madden '06 to Madden '07). You as a paying customer have a vote. If you buy the game, you vote for Madden. If you don't then it's like voting for Bush and then bitching about how stupid you were for doing so.

Congrats and see you the next time you have a stupid thought.
