Best sound: Flint's. I don't know, but the sound of the saxophone appeals to me in that perspective. (: Easiest to combo: Boney's. I don't know what it is, but half of the combo instruments mess up my combos because they distract me a little. Boney's is the least distractive because most of the time it only makes one small sound. -------------------  If you can wait 'till I get home, then I swear we can make this last.  | |

Duster's comes second-easiest to combo for me. Kumatora's is the hardest to combo with, IMO. Something about me and the unfitting screech of an electric guitar doesn't go well with combos. ): ------------------- If you can wait 'till I get home, then I swear we can make this last. | |

Lucas' is plain annoying to combo with because it's even more unfitting than Kumatora's. It's not helpful at all considering how Lucas has the highest attack in the game.

I like Flint's, but I find it easiest to combo with Boney. Probably because he attacks first(If Duster doesn't have the Mythical Shoes on), and his "instrument" is a short bark, instead of a strum.

You're right. Boney's is really easy to combo with because it's very short and right on the dot.
I realized something. Their combo instruments might be there to balance them out. For example, Boney has the lowest attack but the easiest instrument to combo with. Duster is all attack so he was given an easy instrument but just a tad bit harder than Boney's. Kumatora has a challenging instrument to combo with to make the player focus more on attacking with PSI with her. Lucas has the highest attack in the game but also has most of the healing PSI. He has a very difficult instrument to combo with making him a high-risk-high-reward kind of character. Either you risk messing up because of the combo instrument or play it safe and just heal. I don't know if that's the case. | |

Makes sense anyway. Since Lucas is so slow, I rarely attack or heal with him. I usually just use him to buff or debuff. But you're right, Lucas is pretty difficult to combo with, despite his high attack.
I wonder what the characters of Mother and Earthbound's combo instruments would've been... ------------------- Yes no, you will won't. | |
