ok a lot of people ahve been saying that digimon don't really ahve multiple evolution lines but only 1 like the anime and that is not true. Each digimon has multiple evolution lines it can follow and they don't all have to look the same. A digimon can evolve into something that looks notihng like it becuase this is evolution. It's like that. In reality things evolve to change to thier environment. So a digimon under different circumstances and environment will evolve to soemthing else. Comments?

If there's any way that stats would affect things in the series then it makes perfect sense, they just happened to get those forms, taking into the fact that in the series they lived longer and went back, you could say that it's just set in stone since life cycles and such are different. But I bet the show didn't have any game logic in mind so really they just had those forms for looks, powers, to make it look like it makes sense, and to fit in with the story.

There's no mention in the series what rookie Leomon comes from(or is there?). But in the game, he came from Elecmon so does it goes for the same for the series.

Yeah I didnt get that one until you just explained it. I actually thought that the tv series was a load of bull compared with the games. With the games they give more of an indepth look at the evolution lines.

Yeah, still somthing else's bugging me. The elements. Elecmon's a Lightning digimon while Leomon's a Nature type digimon. Still strange things DO happen.

Yes, but Leomon is a feline digimon, and Elecmon is slightly cat-like if you ask me.

They have very small resemblances so I doubt that the Leomon in the TV series evolved from Elecmon. But on the other hand, there's no other possible rookie I can think of.

Patamon is capable of Digivolving into Leomon in Digimon World, and he appears to be a slightly more likeley candidate than Elecmon.

Besides, Leomon may never have Digivolved since his creation.

Oh. I agree on Patamon being more Leomon-like. And they're both Nature type too. And who do you think is Leomon's 'real' Ultimate?
