Yes they have evolved. not "beyond" but "around". Darker skin is an evolved trait. From living in areas with more sun, humans evolved genes that code for more pigment in their skin so that they are less suseptale to skin diseases due to uv rays. a human can get a tan in thier lifetime but the ammount of pigment in thier skin doesn't increase, it jsut gets darker. a caucasian can never get as dark as an african american. and the dark skin african americans have is evovled. Eskimos evolved other traits to help them better survive in cold. Evolution is'nt always a drastic change. it happens gradually. If humasn continued to live in their countries secluded from other races each race would evolve into a different species I predict. Just as like I said aboutt he horse before. all horse like things were once the same animal. but they moved to different areas, some evolving to horses, others evolving to zebras. then grousp of horses went their differetn ways evolving into different breeds of horses.

And human, look at Asians and Caucasion for example, you can tell the difference straight away, I do not know wheater it has anything to do with Evolution OR Enviromental Adaption.

It is, as guilmon said, to do with the amount of pigment in your skin, but I am no expert on this subject as I am only in S2 or the nineth year of school wherever else you live.

I don't think so. When I moved from my hometown in the mountains, my skin was like whiter than I am now as I moved to Singapore and I stay in the sun quite long. If I went to Africa, my skin will be MUCH Darker than it is, a little, now.

Yes, you would hange your skin color a bit but that is only becuase of a tan.
When an african baby is born it has not been in the sun yet, yet it is still a black coloured baby. How do you explain that?

It is because of the baby's parents' genes. If both of them have black skin then that's why the baby's got black skin. It's genetic.

Yes, BUT how come dating back thousand's of years ago why have all of them been black?

I know it may be possible that these people got tan's and then when they had thier offspring they too were just born with a tan. I'm confused.
