What are you talking about? Elecmon can too evolve into Leomon. Infact he is the "official" Child/Rookie level for Leomon. And yes Elecmon can evolve into Birdramon, and Monochromon into MetalMamemon. Why? because this is digimon. That is one of the main differences with Pokemon. Digimon don't have to evovle to only one thing and one thing only, there are many different things it can evolve to. Not all Piyomon/Biyomon havew to evolve into Birdramon. Not all Elecmon evovle into Leomon just as not all Leomon evolve from Elemon. Thats just one possible way for a digimon to evovle. Some seem really obscure and impossible, and I don't really know the process of thoguht behind hongo,toei aniamtion, and bandai etc when they decide what digimon can evovle to who, but if they say a digimon can evolve to another digimon then it can. Thats the end of the story.

No it applies to the anime too. They just always conventiantly evolved to thier official evolution instead of any other. You'll realize that enemies don't always follow this. Vamdemon/Myotismon, evovled to his Ultimate/Mega level Venom Vamdemon. He was killed as this and his data reverted back to Vamdemon/Myotismon. Then it went inside Owikawa etc. and Evovled back to Ultimate/Mega but isntead of Becomming VenomVamdemon/VenomMyotismon he became BelailVamdemon/MaloMyotismon. That is an example of alternate evolution. Diablomon also did this. He devolved from Diablomon then re-evolved to Ultimate/Mega becomming Armagemon/Armageddemon instead. This also Happened to HolyAngemon/MagnaAngemon in V-tamer who re-evovled to Dominimon instead of Seraphimon.

It is ertainely a very obscure game in terms of Digimon's 'trees'.

I've never played it...Is it any good?

It depends how you play it. The battle graphics are dissatisfactory, and there are many glitches. Also the whole deal with the card battle is just annoying but you know it is possible to play through the game without ever getting it. If you choose to evolve your digimon naturally then it's more ammusing to you, but the fact that you can do wacky evolutions like that just kinda spoils it for me. Over all it's pretty fun and the final boss is cooler than apocallymon.

Well, it depends on wheater you like the game or not. I like the game because even if you don't have Veemon as your partner, you can STILL get Imperialdramon family.

I think Elecmon would fit into Tyrannomon more than Gabumon would. Colour's almost alike. DMW2 gave a variety of RATIONAL digivolutions as well.. though not as much as DMW1..
