Hello Peeps and Cronies, I made a brief appearance here last year but never really took to the place. Going to give it another go considering how I want to improve my writing skills.

I particularly could use some help in inserting dialogue in a story, to me it never sounds...fluid. And I always seem to say "said" to many times. Any one with experience and a offer of advice or help would be a godsend

Erm ... not sure whether this is the place to post or not, but if anyone wants to do a joint story, pm me.

I'd like constructive criticism on this, please.

I'm sick of all the short, pointless comments.

Okay, I have a new story I'm writing. It' called Why I Have You, and I'd really like some CC on it.

I have a question about writing, and what better place to ask than the writer's lounge Well, what's your opinion on rhyming in poetry? Personally, I feel that rhyming is what makes poetry. Rhyming in a poem makes it flow better and overall gives it more... oomph. Some people find it restricting but... I don't know. Just wondering if I'm the only one that feels this way.

To me, rhyming is not an important part of poetry. I believe the only important thing is creativity.

Most of the poems I write are rhyming, basically because I haven't reached the level of superior non-rhyming poetness yet. XD

But it doesn't really matter, though. To me, what matters is expressing what you're trying to express, whether it be a specific object or your feelings.

But you can call creativity a lot of things. Whereas rhyming is a thing usually associated with poems or songs (Which are basically sung poems... kinda)
