Meh, doesn't really matter to me.

I don't thing poems have to rhyme, necessarily. But they do have to have some sort of rhythm. Anyone ever read Shakespeare? Or study meter (prominent in Shakespeare)? As long as they flow, they do not have to rhyme. You know when sometimes something has too many syllables, and you have to say it too fast? It doesn't matter if it rhymes with the line before or not, it sounds choppy. Or if it doesn't have enough syllables and you have to draw it out.

Not that I'm against rhyming, but I don't think its necessary. Also, some times if something rhymes too much and its too obvious, it sounds sort of fake.

Poems can flow without rhyming, as long as they have rhythm. And I don't mean rhythm as in music. I can't really explain what exactly I mean, but...

I hope I didn't offend anyone, I just have strong opinions. And feel free to argue against me, I don't mind. Thats just my opinion. ^^

Oh, one last thing. I'm looking for comments on my first neo story, The Power to Choose. And I mean meaningful comments that can help me improve. Not just "this is awesome", or "keep writing". Thanks.

Surely a novel shouldn't have a limit of words. When I write, I just write. Some people (well, most) say I'm Gifted and Talented at writing, but I don't believe them. How can somebody autistic be good at English?

Anyways, I hope I'm allowed here...I'm not exactly well known. I just wanted to check it out. I like stories.

Mostly people tell me that when they read my stories and once, I wrote a 5 page History essay the night before it was due in and got the highest mark for it. My mum read it and then she read my sources (i.e. the textbook) and she said, 'You have a phenomenal gift here, Melissa. You have the gift of linguistics.'
Or something like that. I don't like being told I'm good at things, or being told I'm pretty. I wish I was a flea. What a happy life fleas must have...

I read a pure novel was 50, 000 words. If your novel is under 50k, it's called a novella. My work, I'm Not Okay is now considered a novella, since I'm not planning on getting anywhere near 50k words.
