Is the wii due for a price crop does anyone know like b4 or after christmas ?

250$us is already cheap... I don't think the price will drop this year. Maybe the next one.

Wii will not see a price drop until demand levels off. Right now, demand is still insanely high, and probably will only grow through the holidays. I don't expect a price drop for at least the next year, and maybe even more depending on when Nintendo wants to release new colors.

i dont think it will drop in a year in a half atleast because it hasnt been out for that long and the holidays sales will be getting high. in a year or two when sales go down they will probally lower it a little

its already cheap so my answer would be no until people start not buying them anymore.

with the already low price, it would amaze me if Nintendo cuts the price of their system anytime in the foreseeable future. (especially considering its still near impossible to find a Wii in a store, at least in my area)

theres no way that theres going to be a price drop. the demand is still really high and expected to raise A LOT for the holidays. it wont be till well into next year that we MIGHT see a price drop. maybe not even then...

Agreed. In fact, we may not see a price drop until the next Nintendo SYSTEM comes out! Whenever that will be... I've been trying to win one playing the unique number game on Limbo.com but I'll probably break down and buy one before the holidays come around. It's obvious that companies like Nintendo and Apple are trying to pitch their products to the "Wal-mart" crowd as well as the cultural elite, so I doubt they'll budge any further. Not that I'm knocking it, I'm a member of the Wal-mart crowd!

The Wii couldn't hold this price for that long. The 360 has already dropped and will likely drop again sometime next year. Putting it very competatively close to the Wii as far as price. The PS3 might be a bit slower to drop but as production costs come down Sony will jump to lower the price as much as possible to make up sales.

Eventually the Wii is going to have to come down as sales start to slow and the other consoles catch up. Right now it is running on two things. It is different and it is cheap. Making it the hot new fad gadget. But that won't last forever. Notice how often Apple reinvents the Ipod to keep it new and fashionable.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Wii drop down to $199.99 USD.

That's the price I thought the Wii was originally going to launch with.
